This is so scary, at Auburn exit you head straight north up 290 or 495 or completely south to Sturbridge and below. Thank the good lord they picked that car up before they lost it. That exit is kinda the midpoint to head north or south, omg. So very scary. One spot you can go in completely different directions on the pike...

Yup. If they took 290 they’d end up in my neck of the woods. God knows where they were going.

Thank god they found that car and amazing job to the person who reported that little girl being abducted because had she not seen they could have been pass the Turnpike and never found. Also amazing job to the police.

That’s not all that far from where she was grabbed — less than an hour’s drive, isn’t it? I wonder where they’ve been all this time. Ugh.

Press conference notes:

Stranger abduction.

Victim was screaming.

Talking about how rare this situation is (stranger abduction of a small child).

They practice this a lot. Technology is very important. The biggest factor was the assistance of the public.

Extra staff was put on to field tips. Able to get an accurate plate number and put it out on plate readers.

One in custody. Victim being taken to hospital, fair to good condition. Not known what she went through at this point.

They knew that time was of the essence. “This was an absolute life and death situation for this little girl.”

Suspect’s name: Miguel Rodriguez 10/16/1995

Any chance this was a custody issue?

ETA: Nevermind; I just read MassGuy's post. I guess it wasn't. I hope she was not traumatized :(.

The officer speaking right now said she's fair to good condition but they are unsure of what all she's been through at this point so that combined with your comment about the distance has me concerned. And the woman officer just now said she has no visible injury's that they can see but she's being checked out see if she has more makes me very concerned that she was sexually assaulted before they found her.

Seriously worried about all that time. Stopped 40 miles away- roughly 7 hours later ;(

Was the woman in the car when she was found?

That spot right there at the exits, you can go north, northeast, east or south in one tight area, you could lose the car you are following in a blink of an eye omg. Blessed day.

No, they only arrested the man. They do feel that a woman may still be involved.
