Her mother reported her missing, but her "age last seen" on NamUs is 34 - 38??? Why didn't her mother know her birth date and year? Did she just report her missing saying that she hadn't heard from her since June of 1978, or did she give more information on why she might be gone? Was Doris the type to leave on her own? Was she stable (mentally, financially)? Who was her husband? Why weren't they living together? Could he have something to do with this? Was any type of investigation done by LE or family members? This case is all questions and no answers.

I've been looking through the Alcala photos (and taking breaks where I pet my dog a nd cat A LOT! lol yikes such a nasty creep!)

Could this woman with short black hair smoking a cigarette at what looks like a hotel pool be Doris?

If I've understood correctly, she contacted her mom in June, so she wasn't necessarily in MA at that time? Thoughts?

Edited to add: it's #38, if the link should go astray. I can't bring myself to save any of his cr@p

This is the woman I thought may be her. I'm less bothered by these things now...

There are several interesting comments:
"My name is Kathryn Ryan Dubuque and I grew up in Blackstone, MA. Doris Ann Beaudoin Tetreault was my mother's cousin. She disappeared when I was a little girl and my mother was so upset because she believed that Leo P. Tetreault murdered Doris because she attempted to leave him and the acting Chief of Police at the time covered up the case. Every time we drove by that house my mother would say I know Doris is buried on that property. My mother tried to reopen the case years later, but Doris's siblings refused to cooperate and told her to leave it alone in a very threatening manner. They were irate".

"Doris and Leo lived at 85 Elm Street, Blackstone, MA. When her mother reported her missing in June of 1978, she stated that Doris was not living with her husband. But, this is because Leo told the family that she had left him. But my mother believes that he had already killed her because Doris would never leave without informing her family. There is no way that Doris could have signed those papers on June 8, 1978 because she was already presumed and reported missing on June 1st. It doesn't add up. You have my full cooperation in this matter as well as my family's. My parent's home is about a quarter of a mile from where Doris lived and we all believe that Doris's body is on that property. She didn't leave him. She just never made it out. My mother also said that there were rumors that Leo's first wife had disappeared as well. But I don't know who she was".

Although we can't be sure about the information as it's not official, it certainly makes sense.
