Police Officer Clifford Cespedes reported after speaking with her, "It was immediately apparent that she was not suffering form any infirmity and was of sound mind."

Griffin told police she had decided to come to Sarasota to get away from others and chose not to notify family so they wouldn't interfere with her decision.
