35-year-old Gregory Glavin was last seen Saturday, Feb. 17, when he left a friend's house on his maroon moped in nearby North Attleboro. Glavin is described as being about 5'8 and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket over a white long-sleeve shirt over a green shirt. He had blue work boots, a red helmet and blue jeans.

Glavin has not made phone calls, sent text messages or used his bank account since the day he disappeared.

Easton police, assisted by the state environmental police, have searched areas that Glavin is known to frequent, including Wheaton Farm and Wright Farm in Easton, and Watson Pond in Taunton.

Glavin’s last phone calls, text messages and banking activity took place last day he was seen, according to police.

No update on this morning's local news. Could hear the helicopters yesterday again but if they've found anything after 10pm nothing has been mentioned or updated. IMO, they need to check The Glenn. He was seen going south on Bay Road and may have been seen taking a Left on Highland. That road goes to Foundry basically straight to The Glenn then loops back to Bay where he lives. Just a hunch. It's the only area around there where someone's moped might be taken if it appeared abandoned.

well if it isn't suspicious why is he under a tarp? unless it was self inflicted

His body was found under a camouflage tarp in the woods and foul play is not suspected?!

Rest in peace Gregory :rose:

The body of a deceased man was found under a tarp in the woods off Bay Road in Easton this afternoon.

Authorities said the body was found by a maroon moped that was partially exposed under a camouflage tarp.
Authorities said the victim has not yet been officially identified and that foul play is not suspected.

I never heard of someone covering up their own dead body...

Besides hiding under a tarp.

From the article: 2 things that stick out for me... #1 he left his GF house; wonder if there was an argument? #2 he filled up with gas; seems odd if he only went a short distance

I wonder if the tarp was being used as a tent or lean-to. Perhaps a place to go for privacy,

Why fill your gas tank to commit suicide? I could believe a drug overdose and the conclusion of no foul play. Not judging.

Interesting, it was a volunteer search organization that found him.;

"After nearly two months, the Glavin family contacted Mark 9, which is a volunteer search and rescue team.

“They were searching as if it was their own kid,” Helen said. “If it wasn’t for them, Greg would still be out there.”

Police were contacted and they confirmed that Glavin’s body, along with his moped, were located under a camouflage tarp in the woods off Bay Road near Wright Farm on Thursday around 1:30 p.m.

“They found him very, very quickly -- in the same area where police said they did their search,” Helen said."

"They just didn't care, they didn't care at all they put no effort. It's just an incomplete investigation by the Easton Police Department that's what I'm upset about. Total incomplete investigation,” she said.

Glavin, says police conducted only one search for Gregory on February 27 just ten days after he went missing while driving his moped.

“They told me that they covered everything and he wasn’t out there… they said they could do no more searches. That was it. It was the end of the story,” she said.

But it wasn’t the end of the story -- The Glavins brought in the all-volunteer Massachusetts Rescue and Recovery K-9 team to continue the search.

After only four hours, volunteers found Gregory's body and his moped under a tarp in the woods less than a half a mile from his home.
