Police ask for help in identifying car involved in fatal hit-and-run crash in Weymouth

Police in Weymouth are asking for the public’s help in identify a Volkswagen believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash over the weekend that killed a 61-year-old woman.


Police said they believe the vehicle involved in the hit and run is a Volkswagen Jetta GLI that could be from 2011 to 2014. Police said the car may have damage to the right quarter panel and possibly the windshield.


On Saturday, at around 2:45 a.m., a Weymouth police officer found 61-year-old Xuan D. Vo lying on the sidewalk in the area of Pleasant Street, authorities said. Police said she was struck while walking in the area of Pleasant Street.
