Are there maps of areas that have already been searched?
I'm still reviewing the facts here, but from what I've seen so far, the person in question, JF, has been named in MSM. He has a criminal record as a sex offender, and had contact with Jaimee the night she disappeared. His van was seized by LE, as well. Therefore, he can be discussed. This is different from a case where a RSO lives in the area, but is not known to have had contact with a missing person or victim. Although this person has not been officially named a POI or suspect, according to MSM he is being investigated as such.
5 Investigates checks record of man possibly connected to missing mom
Jason Fleury not a suspect in disappearance of Jaimee Mendez

Police haven't named any suspects in her disappearance, but detectives have been working at the Lynn home of a man her family said she knew, a man who is a level 3 sex offender.

Detectives have been investigating in Lynn where Jason Fleury lives.
Family members said Mendez was with Fleury the last time anyone had contact with her.
On Tuesday they spent two hours searching his Lynn home and a dumpster before towing this van, which 5 Investigates learned is registered to Fleury.
Fleury is a level 3 sex offender. He was convicted in 1997 of having sex with a minor in Virginia.
Since then, 5 Investigates found he has racked up a lengthy history of arrests in Massachusetts.

Bumped for sunflowerchick.
He may be sleuthed according to a mod
It appears JF has been cooperative. Maybe he permitted them to test his vans, knowing he had nothing to hide? Or perhaps the probable cause is the supposed carpet found in the dumpster. Maybe they are trying to determine if it truly came out of one of those vehicles? If I had killed someone and one of my two vehicles were involuntarily confiscated, and I was sure they were going to find something in one that was going to incriminate me, I'd probably jump in my second one and flee. But that's just me.
(MOO)
His 2 vans were not only searched. They were seized. So there is a probable cause statement somewhere. (someone could try the FOIA)Which would make him a suspect. Otherwise getting the judge to sign off on the warrent seems impossible.
They dont issue warrants to seize property without merit...IMO...moo... some of this Is fact but I dont feel like linking laws about search and seizure and probable cause ..and all that.
They might have gotten a search warrent on little merit but ,they took 2 vans and if he isnt their suspect then someone with access to those 2 vans sure is..JMO.
Just jumping off your post Soul. Can anyone find out if search warrants were issued (imagine they were) and if so are they sealed or available? Even if they exist would be great. TIA
Anyone can filll an freedom of information act. There is a fee ,my state charges 12 dollars. However if he is a suspect ,they will likely not release the info on an open case. They will deny it. they have to respond to the request within 7 days.

Didnt you read the news reports where everyone in the home had left?
I did read something about that. But this was before his last visit to the police station. Has more come out? Also, this does not mean LE does not know where he is. Perhaps he is worried about the public, not LE, and is simply staying someplace so he is not harassed. That's what I would do personally.
I think they left after his last talk with LE the same day the second van was taken .. The blue van was taken first ,then the green van I believe 2 days after the green one but I might be wrong on that. I did tag post that related to the vans but the post numbers are different now than they were and again I have not fixed them..
I meant to retrieve that info for you to add to your google doc but I had a friend who had half his colon removed and while it looks like I am always online and here I am not I leave WS up an open and stay almost always logged on..
Outfits like that don't want to deal with "little moms" that make the whole world pay attention to them. This RSO is going to have bigger problems than LE, I imagine, as such an outfit would not want this kind of attention. Such an outfit would not drop a victims shoes in one dumpster, a cell phone, in another place. They'd do things like pros. No repercussions, just another gang banger victim, or gone. I imagine that's what he wants people to believe.
Thanks for that info. I will try searching for it myself as well. Sorry to hear about your friend. My mom had the same procedure done a couple years ago. Not fun.![]()
Situations where innocent victims have been kidnapped to put pressure on competing gangs (read drug dealers) are not unusual in MA or in other states where the drug trade is lucrative.
I will give you an example;
"Innocent people can become involved and no matter who's involved, law enforcement is not going to just stand by when people are running around with stolen vehicles, guns, extorting drug money. Its just not going to go unnoticed," Quigley said.

That characterization of Lynn is a bit harsh. The city has the usual problems of an aging mill town trying to replace the old economy with something new, and does have sketchy areas, but the entire town isn't sketchy or drug-laden. Recently they've shot scenes from several movies there, new industry has moved in, and many neighborhoods are being upgraded.
I don't live there either, just visited a time or two, so I don't feel qualified to go into more detail than that.
