SPRINGFIELD - Police are seeking the public's help in locating a 19-year-old man who was last seen by his family four days ago.

The man, Jose Luis Diaz, may be in need of medical attention, according to police.

Diaz is Hispanic, around 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighs between 170 and 185 pounds. He has black hair.

He is believed to be driving a blue vehicle and may have driven to Grafton, police said.

Anyone knowing where he can be found is asked to call Springfield police detective Selenia Cruz at 413-787-6302.

This is so sad - it appears he survived the initial crash. Wish he had been able to get help.

Mr. Diaz-Almodovar had been tentatively identified as the man on surveillance video leaving the scene of a single-car crash in Grafton on Sept. 17. A search of the area on the morning of the crash was unsuccessful...........

During a second search in Grafton, on Sept. 24, the body was found in a wooded area behind a home on Brigham Hill Road, about half a mile from where the crash occurred.
