Going over part of Lt. Gallagher's testimony that I missed this afternoon when I ran out to a press conference. This is a broken cocktail glass Gallagher said he recovered from the scene near red blood spots where John O'Keefe's body was found




I just don't see the Stop & Shop bags being a winning issue. I've covered other cases where they ran out of bags (no, that's not what happened here) and cops went to a grocery and got paper bags. Is it 100% ideal, no. Is it a huge deal? No.

I say if the choice is between solo cups and not collecting the evidence at all- I’d go with the solo cups. Although, I think something glass with a lid- like Pyrex - would have been a better option

Just looked it up. This is from Jan. 30, 2022- Canton it says 21 inches of snow. I don't know what the snow totals were that day on 1/29 when they were searching. The video we saw it wasn't 21 inches. But, by the next day - it was 21 so snow must have been falling heavily at some point

Brennan is now laying some foundation with the witness before J Cannone will allow Hyde to come to her conclusion.

Brennan asks again for Hyde's opinion on whether the McCabe search was done at 2:27. Alessi objects again. and asks for a sidebar. Cannone says this is the last time Mr Alessi. He seems to be arguing (fairly loudly) Hyde should not be allowed to give her opinion.

Jury sees Hyde's table showing info on her research. 6:23:49 "how long ti die in cikd" search was done. (McCabe testified her fingers don't have the proper sensation in the cold due to her MS, thus the typos.)



HYDE is testifying data comes to your phone like food to a table - burger, chicken and pizza. She's going on and on about food. Now waffles and pancakes. Might be making the jurors hungry - they haven't had lunch! I saw the food being delivered 15 minutes ago downstairs

Hyde says McCabe did not delete a google search because it is not possible to delete tabs, only clear the cache,
She says McCabe did not delete calls either, system auto deletes them after many build up. Brennan completes his questioning.

Defense is using a power point presentation to show the jury videos of Karen Read drinking cocktails..and supplementing ones she found "light pours" (her words) with shots to make them stronger.



The prosecution is playing lengthy stretches of video from CF McCarthy's showing Read and O'Keefe drinking. Sgt Buhkenik is counting the drinks and noting at one point Read flips the bird at O'Keefe. (But it seems to be in jest.)
