She was in her car- not on foot. She did have her dog with her. What confuses me was her last whereabouts know at 1 am. I have no clarification on this.

Thanks for coming by and chiming in. Hoping your friend is found safe and sound soon! I'm guessing they would have looked at some of her favorite dog walking spots already? Sounds like she possibly could have gone somewhere to walk her dog and maybe got lost or injured?

1) Kayla left her phone at her employer's (she works as a nanny) on Wednesday evening, 1/15/20. I don't know the name of the employer's town.
2) She was seen leaving her apartment/house (Franklin, MA) by her roommate at 9:30am on Friday, 1/17/20. She was wearing workout clothes, had her dog with her and took her car.
3) A "family friend" picked up Kayla's phone from her employer on Sunday, 1/19/20.
4) The phone was taken to the Franklin, MA PD and they reported Kayla's last known location was at 1am Saturday, 1/18/20 in the Dedham, MA area.

Is this information correct, as far as we know?
Does this timeline make sense?

I do hope she’s been entered into NCIC as a File 6 (Missing Person). Franklin PD is required to do this with NO waiting period. The statement I saw concerned me. If she’s missing of her own accord, once they make contact and confirm they cancel the File 6. No problem. But I do hope she’s been entered!

That timeline looks correct. I have no updates at this time. I never met her room mate but I have reached out to her (more so to offer my help) and have not heard back. This has gone public very quickly which I am extremely grateful for. To be spotted at 1 am alone is just really not like her either. I initially thought maybe jimmy ran into a frozen pond or something and she’s a vet somewhere with him - but the whole 1 am sighting has me completely thrown.

Since KQ doesn't have her phone with her, I'm wondering how LE tracked her last known location as being in Dedham at 1 am Saturday.

Did someone report seeing her in Dedham, did someone report being with her, was there surveillance footage of her discovered, was her vehicle caught on camera, what?

Was her dog observed to be with her at that time, and was she in her car or on foot?

I am going to look to see where it says she was seen at 1am. Does it say who saw her and where?

Yeah, this definitely appears to be a case of KQ being voluntarily missing.

LE still needs to track her down to ensure that she's all right, though.

People who know her describe this as being out of character behavior, but it's entirely possible that KQ may be struggling with some type of internal crisis and/or experiencing some life stressors, and needed to "escape" for a while.

Your sense of urgency and puzzlement leads me to think that she may not be "voluntary"missing . If not too personal to discuss here can you tell us a bit about what you are thinking her current situation is ? I don't blame you, her sister or roommate for being concerned about her unusual behavior.
The police have her phone but will most likely not get a warrant to get into it since they consider her voluntarily missing.
If someone knows her password(s) or can get into her phone perhaps you all should consider getting it back from the police and taking a look at what may have precipitated all this.

Thank you all so much for keeping this all genuine and kind. I’ve seen some pretty nasty posts regarding this on the news pages, so I sincerely appreciate your open minds. Kayla has lost a boyfriend (it’s been 5-6years)who was a navy seal and died in training. She went through a lot but got through it with strength. She has since had therapy and moved from RI to Mass. She has had a few boyfriends since but nothing that I know of in at least 3 months. She has been happy- she was a substitute teacher last year and loved it. She discovered she could make more money as a nanny and has loved that as well. Again, she is very private and conservative with certain things, if she is on medication I don’t know what it is. I just can’t wrap my head around what the police have —— that one morning she grabbed her dog and left, reaching out to no one- is perfectly happy without a phone- and has been sleeping in her car with her dog for 4 days- in the same town she pays for an apartment in?? Maybe she has had a mental breakdown out of nowhere- ok. But even if this is the case I am still determined to find her physically and not by way of surveillance. Again- I really do appreciate you all.
