Found Deceased MA - Mark Porter, 54, Ipswich, 3 Nov 2017

Mark Porter was last seen Friday, Nov. 3, in the area of Willowdale State Forest, in Ipswich. The 54-year-old was possibly riding his mountain bike, which is a Specialized brand bike. Porter is described as a white male, 6-foot 3-inches, with short "crew cut" brown hair, blue eyes, and an athletic build. There is no clothing description available.

Search Resumes in Ipswich, Massachusetts for Man Missing Since Friday


Officials are resuming their search Monday morning for a missing man in Ipswich, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Porter’s pickup truck was found. It appeared like he had just pulled his mountain bike off the roof rack to ride the 40 miles of trail at the Ipswich state forest. It was normal for Porter to go on 50 or 100-mile bike rides. This time though, he did not take his cell phone, his wallet or backpack, and he left his apartment door unlocked.

His siblings acknowledged he was working through some personal struggles of late and said it added to their concern about what has happened.

The family is spreading his photo around, working to organize a volunteer search group, and planning a vigil.

oh no... so sad when those who might need some help can't get it or choose not to. Feel so sad for his family... they must feel helpless, and that's an awful feeling.
