Missing Person Alert for 19-year-old Maximillian Carbone: The Boston Police Department is issuing a Missing Person Alert and asking for the public’s help in efforts to locate 19-year-old Maximillian Carbone, a student at Wentworth University, who was last seen this morning, Saturday, April 6, 2019, between the hours of 1:00AM and 2:00AM at a party in the Allegheny Street area. When last seen, Carbone who is approximately 5’10” tall, 150 lbs in weight with a thin build and thick curly brown hair, was wearing a green Heineken t-shirt, Patagonia sweatshirt and khaki pants.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Maximillian Carbone is urged to contact 911 or Area B-2 detectives at 617-343-4275.

Community members wishing to assist this search anonymously can do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). The Boston Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identities of all those who wish to assist this investigation in an anonymous manner.

Police state he was last seen in the Hillside area of the Mission Hill neighborhood. I know there are several bodies of water not all that far away, and depending on where Max was headed after leaving the house party, I wonder if his path ventured near any of them. To be sure, I hope this won’t turn out to be another tragedy where a young person leaves a party in an inebriated state and somehow tumbles into a nearby body of water, but considering the frequency with which those situations seem to occur, the possibility crosses my mind. Hope he’s found safe and dry soon, though!

Still missing this morning. MA State Police using helicopters to search. There is not much information to go on. Who was he with at the party? Were there any incidents there? Was he heavily under the influence? (Not victim blaming, trying to read his state as he left.) Did he leave on his own? This is a heavily populated area; lots of students, transitional, some crime.
Bit of a puzzle at this point.

Terrace St. intersects with Albany St. Not sure what part of Terrace St he was found or if it would be his likely route towards home. I will be anxious to see the COD.

No ID yet, scene marked with crime scene tape. This is not unusual for a body found outside. It preserves/protects evidence while they work to confirm cause of death and keeps away bystanders. Of course, death may be ruled a homicide if obvious from condition of body.

This adds the fact that when he left the party he said he was going to stop at a local store. Hopefully, there is some video footage. He may have caught the eye of someone unsavory if he pulled out cash to pay. That is not the best area to be wandering around alone at one or two o’clock in the morning.

Police confirm body found at base of cliff is missing Wentworth sophomore
He evidently fell into a deep crevice behind a building. It’s kind of out of the way. Perhaps he went back there to relieve himself and slipped.

The article states "Tree branches could be seen bent over at the top of the cliff, which is protected by chain-link fence." If he was found at the base of the cliff, how did he get past/over the chain link fence??

I was wondering the same thing. The only other thing I could think of from the photos I’ve seen is that maybe he didn’t fall from the very top, but from behind the building at the bottom. Maybe there is a further drop from that lower street also. It is not very clear on Google satellite view. Anyway, to me, it seems that they very rapidly concluded it was not suspicious. I’m not sure why/how they came to that conclusion so quickly unless there is a video camera behind that lower building which seems like some kind of glass school.

The party was on Allegheny Street. He was found near the corner of Allegheny and Terrace. Allegheny only spans a few blocks. I wonder if he even made it to the store.

it is very sad. thank you for the info. i was wondering how far he would have gotten. If he walked down Allegheny then onto Terrace... where is the cliff that he supposedly fell from? I'm trying to see if i can see this chain link fence or the cliff from google maps but i'm not very successful. I'm just trying to see if it would be on his way to a local convenience shop or something..

I'm not sure exactly where it is but they were showing the location on the news. I'm also not sure if he knew the area that well. Mission Hill is pretty rough but convenience stores are really common in most areas of the city so if you walk a few blocks in any direction you'll probably find one
