Another week, and still no news. This is incredibly sad.
This is sad. I would love to know specifically what makes the family believe that Mike may be in the White Mountains - and specifically mention 93 North (not South, or any of the areas along the presidentials).
oh myRead the comments on the original post's FB page. There's quite a bit of interesting information there. If its true, there's more going on here. I'm very afraid for Mr. Gray.
Hmm. It's weird that clothing would be found if he went into the water in the vehicle he was driving last. In any event, I hope this leads to answers for his family.JAN 5, 2023

Dive Teams Search Waters in Salem in Connection With Missing Man

Dive teams with Salem police and Massachusetts State Police searched the water Wednesday night, with the Criminal Investigation Divisions from Salem and Peabody police also responding.
Before Gray was reported missing, some clothing was found near the beach, police said. At the time, officers weren't aware the clothing could be connected. But after getting more information, resources were gathered to check the beach and water nearby.

I was a bit confused too. It sounds to me that he broke the window and no keys were in the Rav 4. Then he called a police officer friend to take him to get his sisters car. So from this I can gather the following:Am I reading the wife's post correctly that he broke his own window to get his keys ... and the proceeded to abandon that vehicle in favor (the Rav 4) in favor of a borrowed vehicle (Ford Escape)? Doesn't make sense to me.
Can you point me to that article? I can't find that info in @PommyMommy's post, which I quoted. The article mentions that the vehicle was found parked and locked.
my husband has a toyota tacoma and has the key in his pocket, u dont have to put it in. maybe he lost the key but he THOUGHT he left it in the car, after breaking the window he found that he diddnt. if he lost his wallet maybe he lost the key.I was a bit confused too. It sounds to me that he broke the window and no keys were in the Rav 4. Then he called a police officer friend to take him to get his sisters car. So from this I can gather the following:
1) he didn't realize the keys were on him for some reason, and he broke in and found no keys
2) he lost the keys and they are neither in the Rav4 or on him
3) he knew he had the keys broke the window and told his friend (the police office) he lost the keys
MOO - but I'm still unclear exactly what she is saying or presuming.
That's how I read it, too. It sounds like the key was in the car, he broke the window, took the key, and then called for a ride instead of taking the car.Am I reading the wife's post correctly that he broke his own window to get his keys ... and the proceeded to abandon that vehicle in favor (the Rav 4) in favor of a borrowed vehicle (Ford Escape)? The people who racked up charges on his credit cards who say their dog found his wallet sound suspicious to me.Snipped<“He presumably smashed his own window in to retrieve his keys, and since there were no keys in his car (rav 4) when it was searcher and towed we assume he has his keys on him..”
Snipped< “We know for a fact that Mike does not have his wallet or drivers license on him. It was found by a couple at Spring Pond in Peabody. The wallet was found by this couple on Friday 12/15 5 days after mikes car (Toyota rav 4) was towed from spring pond. They made fraudulent charges on his debit card a week after he went missing, but claim to have no information about anything. They claim to know nothing about Mike’s disappearance and the story that they said to police is that the dog found the wallet along the path around Spring Pond while they were out for a walk.”
Update from his wife:
*updated with clarification of the story and time line*
Friends everywhere - please share and keep watchful eye. Mike has been missing for 19 days now. The agony myself and his family are in is unimaginable.
Mike and I live in York, Maine and he is originally from Peabody and has family still living and working in Peabody, MA where he was last seen at 9pm on 12/10.
Hours before his disappearance, Mike locked himself out of his vehicle (Toyota rav 4) at Spring Pond in Peabody, MA. He presumably smashed his own window in to retrieve his keys, and since there were no keys in his car (rav 4) when it was searcher and towed we assume he has his keys on him, he then went on to calling for a ride from a police officer friend (who was on duty at the time of mikes pick up) for a ride to his sisters work. She let him borrow her car (Ford escape) and his intention was to sleep at his moms house that evening and never showed up and that was the last time anyone has seen him - or her car. So to be clear mikes car (Toyota rav 4) is in police possession as it was towed from the pond and he is now driving his sisters car (Ford Escape). Mike phone has been off since 12/10, and the car is to old of a model for their to be a gps tracker in it.
We know it’s weird he didn’t call me or check in and THATS WHY HES A MISSING PERSON AND WE ARE GOING THIS HARD. Mike and I are great communicators and when he needs alone time he would tell me without hesitation, and then would proceed to have that alone time wether camping or something along those lines where he could really spend time alone. That’s why this is so alarming because that is clearly not that case and we are on 19 days of him missing and him having no resources available to him right now.

A concerning detail:
We know for a fact that Mike does not have his wallet or drivers license on him. They claim to know nothing about Mike’s disappearance and the story that they said to police is that the dog found the wallet along the path around Spring Pond while they were out for a walk.
We know it’s strange he hasn’t checked in with anyone, we know that things seem like they’re not adding up, we know that this all sounds crazy, but unfortunately not every single detail needs to be shared because there are so many details on what we’ve been doing, where we’ve been looking, and who we’ve been in contact with. Yes we’ve been in contact with police, yes we’ve been in contact with EZ pass, yes we’ve been in contact with the car company, yes we’ve checked the cameras, yes to all surrounding state police knowing and being in contact, yes to being I contact with the phone company, yes to just driving around looking for him anywhere he could be. Some details are unnecessary because it would make everything more confusing, and some are unnecessary for the sake of protecting my family and what is shared in this post IS the timeline of how things have gone thus far while implementing everything I’ve said from above with no results obviously. Thats why he’s an official missing person and we are moving forward with every possibly thing we can do to find him including taking this to social media.
Things might seem confusing because we have just been updating as we go with new details every time we posted or I have posted thus making the story seem confusing, but this post is the collection of everything that has happened up until this point.
We are concerned because we know that he doesn’t have his wallet or access to money. We are hopeful he somehow had some cash on him. Mikes cell phone has not been used or turned on since 12/10. With the exception of those fraudulent charges - there has been no activity in his bank accounts either.
Every scenario possible is racing through his families minds, so we are open to exploring any and all possibilities. If you have resources that could help, please reach out to his wife, Jules or the police.
Mike has recently talked to friends about the white mountains camping, off grid type camping and also the crystal lake area of Gilmanton NH (he vacationed there as a child). He really enjoys the outdoors and we have worries that he could possibly be in a stranded situation somewhere rural.
Mike has connections to Maine, NH, Massachusetts, Florida, Colorado & Arizona. So no matter where you are- please please keep watch and if you see anything, call 911
Me too! Cops are the first we call around here when locked outI lived in a small town and the cops would always come to help unlock a car when the driver locked the keys inside the car. They used a tool called a slim jim. I don’t think the tool works on newer vehicles. Now you have to call a company such as Pop-A-Lock.
Maybe he didn't want to drive with the broken window? That's how I read it, too. It sounds like the key was in the car, he broke the window, took the key, and then called for a ride instead of taking the car.
But that doesn't make sense.
wife’s post says sister’s car is still missingI also need clarification.
Did they recently find his sister's car locked as well?
