Watertown man Nolan Gargas, 26, was first reported missing.

Gargas is white, 6'2", with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a tshirt, brown pants, and boots.

Gargas's mother said that she saw her son Saturday night and thinks he probably woke up early to photograph the sunrise, which is something he is known to do.

His car was found near the water in the East Point area Nahant at about 4:00 a.m.

Police said that, although the search centered near Gargas's car, there's technically no proof that the missing man was in the area.

I have yet to understand why the CG called off the search.

I'm in the area and not worried.
I don't understand how his car was "found" at 4am Sunday when he hadn't yet been reported missing. Was the car left in the middle of an intersection?
It must have been a typo. A new article by the same site says:
"Nolan Gargas, 26, was first reported missing by his family at 10 a.m. on Sunday. His car - a gray, 206 Toyota sedan - was found near the water in the East Point area of Nahant around 4 p.m., according to police." (BBM)

....thanks, that makes sense. The reporting indicates that he left his home without wallet, credir cards or phone - not a good sign. I wonder if he was employed - the report said he had studied at Berkely School of Music.

I was wondering if he took anything with him but couldn't find any info. May I ask where you saw it? I agree, that makes this even more dire.

Seems like a sweet young man. I hope he comes home soon.

I'll try to find it - I think it was a news video from a local station.

Still no updates on Nolan but in this article, his mother makes it seem like it would be really unusual for him to take off - they seem very close. I don't know the Nahant area but perhaps he fell in the water and hit his head on a rock or something. This seems to have fallen out of the news cycle and I haven't heard any chatter about this in the Boston area.

Missing Watertown man found dead in Boston harbor

"According to Watertown Police, a missing Watertown man was found dead near Deer Island in Boston Harbor last week.

26-year-old Nolan Gargas was reported missing by his family around 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 21. Watertown Police spokesman Jamie O’Connor said a fisherman discovered a body in the water near Deer Island in Boston."

IMO there was information not reported that indicated he was not in the water in Nahant.
