State Police helicopter assisting in search for missing Hadley man

The Massachusetts State Police Air Wing is assisting police in the search for a missing man Tuesday evening.

Patrick Kroll, who lives on West Street, was reported missing on Tuesday, Hadley Police Lt. Mitchell Kuc said.

Police did not say why they are searching for him with a helicopter or how long he has been missing.

Update- we have completed our door-to-door canvass of the area, attempted a track with State Police K9, completed the aerial search of the fields, woods, and river area, alerted area police agencies, submitted Mr. Kroll to the National Crime Information Center as missing, as well as contacted numerous hospitals, clinics, and doctors offices. An attempt to locate his phone revealed that it was in his home.

After looking at his FB I saw a relative of his shared PK’s missing persons report and another missing women’s report from Michigan that happened on the same day. I wonder if there is any connection...

The day prior to his disappearance, he went to the movies. He then cancelled two doctor’s appointments for the following day for no known reason. A neighbor reported seeing him ~2:30am walking down the street barefoot. There’s snow on the ground here in New England and there’s a chill in the air- especially in the middle of the night.
