Maybe wait and see what the defense has to say? The times and calls are all over the place with the CW witnesses. How anyone can believe their stuff is beyond me.
I think this guy was spot on, he was already cross examined and did very well.

How on earth is calling your mom after your boyfriend dumps you and then disappears evidence of murder?

And so what if she asked "did I hit him?" I would have wondered the same thing. The last thing she probably thought happened is that the people in the house put him there after a beating.
A REASONABLE person would think he was sleeping over, where she had left him.

Not “did I hit him”
He’s dead
A plow hit him

You know how ticked off the jury would be if that happened, no way.

Why on earth would they be ticked off if that’s the right thing to do? I’d be more ticked off having to sit thru this sham trial and all of Lally’s “what if anything” statements.

Okay one day we believe Cellebrite and then we don't when it doesn't fit our theory. I guess inconsistencies don't matter much?

  • #465
So what you're saying is reasonable doubt.
Oh, no question. Reasonable doubt was surpassed many, many times in many, many ways.

Karen’s actions that night and morning. Calling her parents 3 times in the middle of the night? Along with her statements, did I hit him? They have all been discussed and many have excused them. They speak of guilt, she knew she did something.
None of that is evidence of KR hitting JO with her car

I do think it’s clear she’s a highly anxious person, rather dramatic and just what I would call “extra”. So it doesn’t surprise me AT ALL that she would jump to the worst case scenario or freak out when he didn’t come home. I struggle with anxiety and when my college-aged kids don’t come home til 5am or their Life 360 locations are weird or wonky, the first thoughts that run through my head are actually embarrassing in the light of day. But it’s just part of my anxiety. So I get why she would think something horrible happened.

Nooooo!!! I want to see the ACTUAL experts testify. We cannot be deprived of that after all the nonsense we’ve witnessed over the past 2 months.
This is true, I'm very much looking forward to hearing from people actually skilled in their profession after the muckety muck we've had to sit through.

Who says he dumped her….link please. It was my understanding they were going to a party, and she decided to go home. She called in the middle of the night, her elderly parents 3 times. This is a 40 something year old woman, not a teenager who needs mommy. This conspiracy story is just that, a story. Did the police have tunnel vision after hearing the events of that night and finding pieces of tail light with John’s body…..seems so, but not without reason. Horrible investigation….absolutely but even with that, I still see evidence KR is responsible for John’s death. Im watching the same trial you are, this is just my opinion. Do I feel she will be convicted, probably not. Her attorneys have done very well with making witnesses feel very uncomfortable.

Wouldn't it be great to hear CLEAR SPEAKING PEOPLE WHO ANSWER QUESTIONS DIRECTLY instead of repeating questions to buy time to formulate some stupid answer? Trooper Paul comes to mind. Awful. Joke of an "expert witness".

Because the jury has been sitting there for weeks now, they deserve to finish it.

Two of the voicemail messages contained no dialogue, but in the first, at 12:36 a.m., Read said, “John, I [expletive] hate you.” At 12:59 a.m., she left a message saying, “John, I’m here with your [expletive] kids. Nobody knows where the [expletive] you are, you [expletive] pervert.”

“No one knows where you are”?

Seems she was already working on the “I left him at The Waterfall” alibi

How that that be?
She claimed she watched him walk up to the door ……

Nope but that along with the tail light pieces with John’s body and his GPS in the same spot all night is……at least to me. I know you will say they were planted. I don’t think so and the fact that they were found over days, makes it even more believable in my book…..because with the weather conditions, that’s what I would expect. I absolutely don’t buy into the conspiracy/ framing Karen story.

Especially considering there’s zero evidence he ever stepped foot in the house and all evidence heard thus far supports he NEVER ENTERED THE HOUSE.
No reasonable person would or could draw such a conclusion that he was ambushed in the house, beaten - mauled by a dog and deposited on the front lawn in less that 3 minutes.

She called her parents.
Did she tell them she had killed someone?
What exactly was the content of the calls to her parents?
Well what would you call your parents for at that time in the morning? Obviously the article don’t tell us but…..

  • #477
Nah. They'd be thrilled to be out of that hot box earlier than expected.
Honestly after watching this trial, I hope I’m never called for jury duty!

It’s likely daddy told her to tap with her SUV on John’s vehicle and delete the ring videos - IMO
Or maybe she came up with that herself, If she can concoct this conspiracy, involving even a child in it, she’s diabolical enough to deliberately back into his car -
we know Her mom added the dog part….

What I found most interesting today….
GPS data John never entered the house.
Karen called her parents @ 1:10, 4:40 and 4:42 in the morning. Things that make you go hmmmm.
Do we know if any of those calls were answered? It would have to be a pretty serious reason for me to ever call my parents at 4am. Like a life or death reason. But maybe that's just me. imo.

Sorry, but that’s just silly. If it’s following the law and it’s the right thing to do then surely the jury would understand. This isn’t for the benefit of making the jury feel good lol
