Karen Read adds Victoria George, juror from first trial, to legal team

According to a new court filing, Karen Read has added a new attorney to her legal team who was a juror during her first trial.

According to the Board of Bar Overseers, [Victoria] George is now working for David Yannetti's law firm. Yannetti is Karen Read's longest serving attorney.

George was a juror in Read's first trial who was selected as an alternate on the day of closing arguments and who therefore did not participate in deliberations.

When reached by WBZ-TV George said "no comment" because she is "under a gag order."

"It's so unusual that I think it probably has never happened, maybe in the history of the country before," WBZ legal expert Katherine Loftus said.

Labor and employment attorney Victoria Brophey George has been added to the Karen Read defense team. She had her number "randomly" selected as an alternate after closing arguments, after making faces throughout Michael Proctor's testimony indicating her disgust with the Commonwealth. She was visibly upset that she had wasted 3 months of her life (while pregnant) only to have no say in the verdict, and she wore a pink dress on the second day of deliberations in protest. She was a firm not guilty voter and would've used her persuasion skills as an attorney to get more jurors like Ronnie to see the light. I was curious because he's been charged with witness intimidation and conspiracy.

There is limited seating for Journalists in the crowded Courtroom. During the first trial, TB/AK was actually banned from the Courtroom during dates certain witnesses were testifying. This Order was then extended after he allegedly violated R/O taken out against him.

Relative to Trial #2, the CW has named TB/AK as a prosecution witness for the first time and since he has witness intimidation charges pending, he's likely being sequestered from the courtroom as a named witness and not being waived, See the latest extensive witness list published today linked below.

The issue that needs to be explained is how does a human arm break that tail light? I'm 1000% certain that it can't! Simple physics tells you that there is not enough resistance from JOK's body weight to do that much damage to the tail light plastic the way the CW is claiming.

A guy 2 weeks ago on YouTube actually went ahead and purchased the exact same tail light from Lexus and tried to break it with a hammer. It took multiple hard blows to break it. The pieces were thick, hard plastic. Furthermore there is a light diffuser inside the housing that the CW claims was broken as well, which would make the light not functional. The problem with that is the Ring Cam footage from JOK's garage shows the light clearly working AFTER the time they are claiming Karen hit John. In my opinion I found the video credible.

There is no way, no how and arm could do that much damage to the tail light without breaking bones or at the very least cause extreme bruising. There is also no way no how the light could be working as shown in the Ring Cam footage from JOK's house if the light diffuser was broken the way the CW claims. For those wanting to see the video of the guy breaking the tail light, I would suggest googling a few key terms in my post. I've read the terms of service here multiple times and I see what other people post and I still am not sure what links can or can't be posted so I'm staying on the side of caution and not posting a a direct link.

If this had scientific validity, I think the defence would have done this kind of testing and KR would not be on trial again.

I understood the commonwealth to be bringing in an expert about the effect of freezing temperatures on the brittleness of plastic.

Yes I am extremely sceptical of these enthusiast tests. No idea if temps make any difference. I think if things could be resolved this easily, the parties would have done so already.

Having listened to the cross of Proctor again I feel like the truth of the investigation is really contained in his texts. He was simply convinced Read was guilty, and he and his colleagues did their usual shoddy work.

Even if he never actually started framing the defendant to buttress that case, the opportunity to gain a conviction may well have been lost in those first couple of days.

That is where I stand going in to this. I am not convinced the CW should be able to convict on policy grounds, given his conduct.

As usual, I have no idea whether or not KR is guilty - mostly because of Proctor.

Aiden Kearney - a blogger and an ardent Read supporter who was arrested and charged with multiple counts of felony witness intimidation, including harassing Jennifer McCabe at a school sporting event. More recently, he was caught outside of a pizza shop in Canton harassing the owner Chris Albert (Brian's brother).

The CW wants to use communications between Read and Kearney in the 2nd trial and filed a motion to do so. Not sure where that stands legally.

I would think TB is most interested in the laws around him being applied properly and not having those laws being influenced by yet another Albert making up their own rules in society. These arrogant Alberts and their relatives are truly violent and intimidating bullies and TB is standing up to them by showing it on video. He's showing them he's not afraid of them, likely something they've never experienced in their lifetime due to all their "connections" in LE.

Who has been arrested for felony witness intimidation and has a case pending ?

Here's hoping the CW gets the ability to see all of the messages/VMs between KR and TB.

If KR encouraged TB to harass trial witnesses (none of whom have been charged with anything in the JOK case) and the CW can present the messages at trial, that would demonstrate consciousness of guilt.

It seems people are talking about two different incidents. TB going to the pizza restaurant at night (after it was closed?) and talking into the speaker could be seen as intimidating IMO. They seem to have been feeding off of each other with intimidation tactics. When is his trial for this?
