It’s pretty easy to consider cause Karen Read was drunk
IMO
Well, pretty easy to determine speed from the so called black box!

Hank wanted temperature testimony, Hank got temperature testimony - and Whiffin experiments with no controls. Hoping Hank is Happy (not really)!
Whiffin is no scientist haha.

That’s assuming way too much precision from data that’s already shown to be questionable. JOK’s phone stopping movement at 12:32 isn’t “rock solid” , considering there are admitted gaps, missing records, and issues with preservation. The defense already raised serious concerns about how and when that phone was handled.

And the Lexus data, IMO, is vague telematics and timestamps without GPS, interpreted by someone who never even verified the clock on the vehicle. That’s circumstantial on top of circumstantial. If the CW wants to lean on digital forensics, they need to be ready to explain all the holes, inconsistencies, and bias in how it was collected and interpreted. Because right now, it looks like they’re stacking shaky data to try and retrofit a timeline.

MOO.
If you brought in a team from Apple/Google/Lexus/etc...it wouldn't be "shaky" at all. The game that's being played here is raising "reasonable doubt" for the sake of the jury. Meanwhile, most of us coming from the tech world know that this case should be a slam dunk, and the only question should be: was this an accident or done deliberately? Remember - "If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit." Meanwhile, there was DNA all over OJ's house...just like there is data here. We're not 100% sure COVID came from the Wuhan Lab...only 99.9% - another example of the old reasonable doubt game.

Cellebrite removed the earlier google search because of the first trial, did I hear that correct? And their competitor still shows it.

Very shady if true MOO

I think if they had the good evidence ,they would have bought in the techs. They cant help the commonwealth because she did not hit him with her car. It just did not happen.
Really that rock could be the real cause of death. 4 all we really know .

I am confused. Is the gentleman testifying that the search happened at 2:27 am or it didn't happen?

I’m probably most interested at this point in the testimony about the Lexus. The high speed reversing is very curious to me since the road is only about 32ft wide. “If” she did travel that long distance at that high reverse speed, that would seem intentional to me. Pretty unnecessary to make a simple 3 pt turn and extremely high speed to reverse. I’ve now tried to hit that speed reversing from my own house, no way. I’ve never felt that if she hit him, that it was intentional.
Yup, she took a 6,000 lb Lexus LX 570 and hit 24 MPH in reverse (over a short distance) in a snowy driveway at night? I live in New Hampshire, please make that make sense. The only question in my mind is, was this accidental or deliberate?

It wasn't accidental or deliberate since it never happened. JMOO

You’re saying the defense is playing a “reasonable doubt game,” but isn’t the Commonwealth doing the same thing? Cherry-picking tech evidence that supports their narrative while ignoring or refusing to pursue more definitive sources like Apple/Google/Lexus? If the data is as “slam dunk” as you say, why not verify it through the companies themselves and put it to bed?

So, who was driving the Lexus LX 570 when the black box clearly shows it backing up at 24 MPH in the snow...? Are we now making believe that never happened?

Once you remove the baseless Jen conspiracies that is in fact all that is left in this case.

If you admit it makes no sense that she reversed at 24 mph in a snowy driveway at night, why are you still convinced she hit him?

I think there was some question as to WHEN the reverse thing even happened.

Questions have long been raised on the data. If you followed trial 1, you may remember that it was alleged that that cycle occurred while in Proctors possession.

If you have been following this trial and the previous one the question would be WHEN that happened. When the defense presents it's case the answer will be available again. JMOO

Alessi has completely dismantled the Whiffin testimony in terms of reasonable doubt

Whiffin is clearly squirming and appears unconfident in his own findings

IMO
Its not very strategic of the Prosecution not to understand that Wiffen's report would be compared to the powerpoint under cross examination and that the P will look as though( even if they did not) had him cherry pick to fit their agenda.

Overall it seems that Alessi scored many points just now.

FRFR It does really sound like a police maneuver.

Someone upthread even mentioned it was taught in police training. I’ll try to find and link it.
