No, I don’t think so. Sequestered means they don’t go home. They’re all put in a hotel, meals brought in, no internet or news access, that sort of thing.
So do they get to go home this weekend and then come back next week to continue deliberating?

They dated twenty years ago.
I wonder if they were still friendly or communicating after all those years?
IMO.
That's what's so fascinating to me, that she has been attending every day, even though they dated so long ago.

Yanetti is discussing the verdict slip with Judge Cannone. They are concerned it’s too confusing and are asking that there be not guilty ‘check boxes’ included in the verdict slip with each lesser charge.

ETA: on the slip there are 7 options for a guilty verdict and only one option for a not guilty verdict.
Makes zero sense - do they just leave the boxes blank if they decide NG on that particular charge?
IMO.

What Yannetti brought up to judge about verdict forms in here….
Court clerk shows the lawyers the verdict slip, tells Yannetti, "It's not what you provided me with yesterday."

I guess so? He said that this is ‘the same issue’ they had with the verdict slip with the last trial.

They get to go home since they aren't sequestered.
IMO.

I’m nervous waiting for the verdict even though don’t know Karen personally. I don’t know who she is as a person, and honestly, her character isn’t what matters to me in this case. Because the truth is, I believe she’s not guilty.

So why do I care so much? With everything unfolding in America right now people marching for their rights, fighting to protect freedoms they feel are slipping away this case, to me, reflects a dangerous shift in our country. We’ve witnessed a flawed investigation, prosecutorial misconduct (whether deliberate or not), and a judge who consistently sides with the prosecution. It’s chilling.

Now, the only hope rests with the jury. I’m clinging to the belief that they’ll uphold the law the fundamental principle that guilt must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. To me, it’s like the Constitution, some leaders no longer honor it, so it falls to us, the people, to demand accountability. We remind them that their duty is to uphold justice.

And so, with all my heart, I hope the jury finds Karen not guilty to send a clear message to those in power that we still hold the authority to demand accountability under the law. IMO

I think it is just legalese
It’s from the original indictment IIRC. Just goes to show how much the case has shifted

ETA what I’m responding to: the ‘assaulted and beat’ line Judge Cannone said in the jury instructions

So still no NG check box?? Unbelievable. Hopefully the jury will ask?? But why should they have to ask??

I would be shocked if there weren't at least 5 more shows.

Yannetti says they are concerned there are seven options for guilty verdicts and only one option for not guilty. "We're concerned this is too confusing for the jury," he says. He wants a "not jury option" for each of the charges. "It cries out for some "not jury" option," he says.

Wasn't part of the issue last time that the defense didn't ask to have the jurors polled?

There is 1 check box for NG. And then each lesser charge has a possible ‘guilty’ check box, but no ‘not guilty’ check box. So, same as last year, it’s a bit confusing. Jurors reported that the absence of clear check boxes for each count were confusing to them, and they were scared to ask for clarification.

……and Judge Bev did it again

IMO it is intentional on the part of the judge to obfuscate the jury verdict form. How unfortunate it is to intentionally make it confusing for the jurors. Just when we think we have seen it all there is something else to cause concern about this fiasco being fair.

This time due to that, might just have them all say..oh welllll NG all across, end of story.
