There is no way that taillight damage is the same damage that Jen and Kerry saw in the early morning hours and what has been shown in photos. Not possible. That light was completely obliterated. They would have stopped and looked at that much damage.

Totally different than Kerry R's description of small piece missing!

Dear Mr Lally,
The jury doesn't care about the refractive index on the glass samples.

Agreed. Didn't they say there was just a "pinhole" of damage?

The technology to amplify human voices is over 100 years old. Why does no one in Norfolk County seem to be aware that it exists? Instead every witness has to be constantly exhorted to keep their voice up.
Starting to wonder if Auntie Bev just needs hearing aids..

@JHall7news

Hanley uses specialized equipment to analyze samples of evidence including a machine which uses infrared light. She examined pieces of glass. There were four samples sent to the lab.

One was the drinking glass found by O'Keefe's body. Also clear pieces of glass recovered from the bumper. a third was pieces of glass from yard on Fairview, and fourth was from the road.

@SueNBCBoston

Lally asking about the microscopic appearance of the items.Hanley looks at color, surface, flat or curvature, and looks for characteristics of glass.

How did glass stay on the trunk while moving the car through a blizzard?
Better yet, isn’t there a video of Karen, Jen & Kerri(y?) opening the trunk of Karen’s car? I believe they said they had been looking for blankets in the trunk; right ?

I understand witnesses are often nervous when testifying but so far I have to say I am underwhelmed at the MSP forensic scientists presented.
