Why & how would police obtain a warrant for a house connected to a motor vehicle accident?

AN OBVIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT?

Between Karen’s admitted excited utterances, the witnesses that arrived on scene and physical evidence like shards of taillight & damage to her vehicle

There was literally ZERO EVIDENCE he was beaten or involved in a physical altercation

Typically, people that commit crimes like this HAVE REMORSE, don’t have FILTHY RICH attorneys willing & able to dazzle with this level of smoke & mirrors and bullpoop and PR team churning out propaganda. Most people have somewhat of a conscious and hope to take a plea.

Not Karen though.
Karen doesn’t care. Karen is about Karen 100% of the time.
I wouldn't classify Alan Jackson as a filthy rich attorney who is willing to dazzle with smoke and mirrors. He spent most of his career as deputy district attorney for LA County until he ran (unsuccessfully) for District Attorney. To quote Mr. Jackson:

"I think we have to get control over public corruption ... When you can't trust the people who are put in the position to actually protect their constituents – there has to be a zero tolerance for that."

I think they thought they would slip it in there and it would not be noticed.
They could claim it was accidental if spotted.
They took the chance...
Egregious.

That's what I kinda thought at first too. You know a desperate act, take a chance. But the more I thought about it the more it didn't seem like the answer. It was so obvious the video was doctored that even people like me knew something about it was just not right. So when looking closer I figured it out and of course posts on the internet had a whole lot to say about it. I don't know what the motivation was, but now I just don't think it was simply a desperate act. Especially now that it has opened a box of missing video minutes. JMOO

I don't know what the reason was but I would think lally would know that the defense would see that the video was mirrored. The alarm went out almost immediately on internet. So why did he play that video knowing it would be exposed as reversed. I can't think of one good reason playing that video would help to state's case. In fact, it just conjures up more questions to include missing time. Any ideas? JMOO
When I first saw the backwards "police" graphic on the retro squad saloon car I assumed I must have been looking at the front of the vehicle so that the "Police" insignia is displayed backwards on purpose so that it would appear the correct way around to vehicles looking at it from their rearview mirror. Then again I am from England, where we don't typically have many saloon type cars where the hood of the car (or "boot" as we say) is the same length as the front.

Also of course, being from England the driver's side of a car here is on the right, not the left! But it never actually occurred to me that the person getting out of Karen's car on what appears to be the right hand side had driven it into the garage. Therefore I have to admit that completely missed the fact that the video was mirrored until the internet went wild!

Looks like Karen's defense noticed it immediately as mere minutes after it was played for the first time during a sidebar Karen could be seen excitedly mouthing back to her parents "It's the wrong side! It's the left, not the right!"

I'm not speaking of the poster you're responding to, but maybe some people think it was an obvious motor vehicle accident because they are still stuck in that mindset due to it being the plan to make it look that way.

IMO MOO
It’s preposterous.

you honestly believe law enforcement officers and a bunch of others beat him, the dog attacked him and their brilliant plan was to dump him on their front own front lawn and wait for him to freeze to death …knowing Karen Read would show up and they would frame her. EVERYONE would join on this conspiracy because, well..why not? It’s a joke right? and according to Karen, they’re all in on it.
That’s why she immediately shared her suspicions that morning …right?

That makes ZERO SENSE

A 24 MPH hit with a car can kill you. though as pointed out by others the car likely had a slam stop feature to stop you hitting a person /object.
I keep hearing that and it may be true, but the early morning ring video shown during cross of Sgt B. clearly show(IMO) her backing into JO’s vehicle. Wouldn’t the slam stop feature stop that if it existed?

Life360 is often WAY WRONG -

Then the CW can provide evidence of that. Do you have a link handy that asserts that? Thanks in advance.

have you fast-forwarded through every single cross examination during this trial?

I wondered this too, however we learned that they initially thought he could have been hit with a glass in the head or something else… that means they didn’t rule motor accident initially and were thinking there was some sort of crime early on. Even if they believed motor vehicle hit and run… that’s a crime and it would be normal to question those inside the house and even neighbors very quickly to see if they had an footage of the event or had seen anything important. I suspect Proctor is arrogant enough to think that he can outsmart the Defendants Attorney. A blanket fifth would raise to much doubt with the Jury. Lally might jump in and object to everything. MOO
If he’s watched any of the cross examinations, I doubt he feels he can outsmart the defense lawyers. I know he isn’t supposed to watch the trial as a possible witness, but he is obviously not a rule follower, IMO.

That the witness didn’t say she said until a year later, but whatever Karen exclaimed was said in hysterics because she just found her boyfriend dead

The trooper testified that HE originally thought the victim had been beaten. What do you mean an obvious vehicle homicide? He wasn’t in the middle of the road. He wasn’t on the sidewalk just off of the road. The police are there to investigate a suspicious death.

They should have investigated and let the evidence lead them to a conclusion instead of making a conclusion and try to find evidence to fit
That’s exactly what they did.
Karen as drunk
Karen dropped him off
Karen hit him
Karen’s car was damaged
Karen pointed out her car was damaged
Karen gathered a search party and went back to exactly where she left him
And guess what?
KAREN FOUND HIM - right where she left him
Karen says “I HIT HIM repeatedly at thrcscenec
Karen later states what she actually said was - “did I hit him?” States she believed she musta ACCIDENTALLY HIT HIM and he BEING DRUNK passed out & froze

I think she did accidentally hit him - and I think she knew it & she left him there.

No- wish I had
Sitting through Chloe & the sale of the house was excruciating …eyeroll

It was done deliberately. I think that is a Q we all have. WHY ? They may comr back it was an honest error, in the duty to correct the record here is the original… blah blah blah

I have over 10 years experience using the app -
My family has been on it since my kid got his first cell phone

It’s usually accurate - sometimes it’s close and rarely it places someone very far away - like Florida LOL - it’s certainly not perfect.

I think she did accidentally hit him - and I think she knew it & she left him there.

None of the evidence shows she hit him, accidentally or on purpose. If you've watched the trial you must know that the Commonwealth still hasn't even come up with a theory to try to sell how they claim Read did it. No reconstructionist, no lead investigator.

I've asked you several times now what you think caused those arm injuries and the corresponding puncture marks on JO's sweatshirt, but you never seem to want to tackle the physical evidence related to John's body. But the jury will.

Michael Proctor is a very bad cop. He's done some really bad things here and will end up in prison when this is all said and done. But you're of course free to vouch for him. Endlessly.

Then an app like that would cause me more anxiety than peace of mind as far knowing where the kids are.Florida, lol. JMOO

I think she did accidentally hit him - and I think she knew it & she left him there.

And that was my initial assumption. Obvious , boom open / shut case. Until I started looking at the evidence.
The FBI - injuries were not consistent with being hit by a car
The destroyed phones - why?
The ‘Hos long to die in the cold’ text at 2.07am - why?? And even at 630am - why??)

- The inconsistent witnesses
-The handling of the evidence, that was unbelievably bad.
-The shards of glass which came from different glasses
- Finding pieces a month later
The bizarre mirrored video
-the bizarre note in the death certificate.
It goes on.
None of these point to a competent or at times even honest investigation.
Why?

On the contrary I wish I could fast-forward through Lally's bumbling barely audible questioning of witnesses where the only words I can usually make out are "what if anything..." but each to their own!

I may not have been here anywhere near as long as you have, but I feel a duty to be a dilligent and objective websleuth. I have previously accepted that the premise of the "cover up" would usually be too wild to believe, but I have never seen such a disastrous and unreliable set of civillian eyewitnesses, first responders and LE. What the hell is going on in this little town?

Shame about the date and time stamps which were allegedly accurate and not reversed.. How could that have happened?
not without considerable effort IMO
