It’s not any kind of proof alone by itself but if you add up all the “puzzling” behavior by LE one might be led to believe that it all adds up to a pattern of behavior - behavior that was perhaps supporting an agenda. There is an awful lot to explain away. Mistakes are always made but there are too many things that don’t make sense. JMO
Exactly. And that’s often the case with investigations: Each factor on its own may not be evidence of guilt. But many factors strung together which are difficult to explain may in fact begin to be circumstantial evidence of an underlying agenda.

I don't find it odd that someone would go out looking for their partner who hasn't returned home and isn't returning their phone calls. I think that's what I would do, even in heavy snow. In fact I would be even more concerned due to the inclement weather.
What might be sort of strange is that she didn't actually go out with her own friends, she went with two women who she didn't know very well. They were John's friends not hers. I presume Karen originally called them because they were at the party where she dropped John off.
I don't know why she chose to go searching with them instead of someone she knew better (perhaps they offered).
Actually, I hadn't really thought about this before...But why did she go looking for him in the first place if she knew she hit him? Wouldn't it be better for her if someone else had found the body and while she was safely at home? Half the state's case is the supposedly incriminating statements she made at the scene.
Exactly. The fact that she went looking shows consciousness of innocence.

The house actually went under agreement over 14 months after O'Keefe's death, so more than a "few".
It's my understanding that only the carpet in the basement was replaced. Story is this was the second time in recent years it was replaced, but I believe friends of the Alberts have claimed there was a water intrusion problem in the basement.

I so couldn't care less about TB. It sucks that the focus is now on him and not on JO and KR.
As for the house, it was listed 10 months after JO's death.

It’s not TB I care about. If there is in fact any truth in a police coverup (of course we don’t know yet) I would not want any investigation to be suppressed.
I agree. Turtleboy's aggressive conduct has been toeing the line of harassment and witness intimidation if not crossing it. He's been so over-the-top, I just don't have all that much sympathy for him.
But by focusing on the TB accusations it does seem like the media has been burying the lede. For example, in this story from the NBC affiliate in Boston...
On Sept. 25, Kearney allegedly used a Facebook account to ask people in Canton to "take a couple pics for me" asking anyone who could help to direct message him....Later that night, a Twitter account associated with Kearney allegedly posted a photograph taken outside the Proctors' home with Jennifer McCabe's vehicle in front of it. In a YouTube video the following day, he said he ran the license plates of the vehicles parked out front, showed the vehicles and stated the owners by name -- Michael and Elizabeth Proctor and Jennifer McCabe.
Sure, TB shouldn't have solicited someone to illegally run the plates.
But the important question is why is the lead police investigator and his wife having a secret meeting at their home with one of the primary witnesses, someone who the defense has alleged is involved in a coverup. There's not a single good reason that they should have any interaction outside of official channels.
Especially since the prosecution has explicitly stated in court that Proctor has no personal relationship to any of the witnesses in this case, despite there being photographic and social media evidence to the contrary.
IMO, the whole thing stinks.

It sure feels like a revenge type thing JMO.
I agree it "feels" that way, but I also think TB's behavior has been pretty reprehensible. He has no journalistic ethics whatsoever and feels he can say - and even more so - do whatever he wants just because he's decided his opinion on the case is infallible. He's also made a ton of money, although after today his legal costs are going to get much steeper.
It would be ironic if Karen Read gets a Not Guilty verdict while Turtleboy ends up doing time.

Tbh I am not enamored with turtle boy. He totally bends the rules. And is arrogant. And more. But I am not sure anyone involved in this case can claim the high moral ground.
If he can expose what is happening behind the scenes ( and there is clearly imo lots of maneuvering) I will applaud him but simultaneously I will have no problem if he is held accountable for his actions.
