So much hearsay going on. The one reporting all these so called facts from inside the courtroom is another self proclaimed internet reporter seen on twitter mostly, Grant Smith Ellis, who firmly aligns with the hatred of turtleboy group. It’s hard to tell at this point if that group stems from Karen Read guilty base or just hellbent on canceling turtleboy group.

Agree. As for Smith-Ellis, he has a press pass and was the only person allowed to live tweet yesterday. (No broadcast as this was a domestic issue only.) Clearly no fan of Turtleboy from past dealings, but he doesn't seem to know all that much about the Karen Read case. Or he's pretending not to know much. His mother is Wendy Murphy, a Boston-based attorney frequently seen as a talking head on CourtTV. Rabidly anti-Karen Read, but she often has her facts wrong.

Smith-Ellis seems more interested in connecting big picture political corruption dots. As he probably knows more than I do about that stuff, I'm not going to opine on his opinions. He's clearly one of the more intelligent people out there "broadcasting" about this case, so he's worth listening to, even if you have to take him with many grains of salt.

Interesting, did not know AK's mother is WM. Do you happen to have a link? If so, TIA.

Do you mean Grant Smith Ellis? Not sure who AK is. He live blogged the hearing yesterday on Twitter and he's been a guest on several podcasts about the case. Twitter handle is @GrantSmithEllis

I spent a considerable amount of my first 25+ years of life in Canton. I actually know quite a few people who have been loosely connected to the case via TB

Both Dateline and 48 hours were in town and did extensive interviews. But I haven’t heard anything about episodes airing. Maybe they are waiting for more developments?

Whenever that happens this case is going to hit the stratosphere. For this reason, I do feel for the people who are completely unconnected but roped in by TB.

The Idaho case has showed us how bad things can get.

Oh I had no idea he had legit press pass or who his mother is. Interesting, and agree he’s more intelligent than most weighing in via social media venues. He’d probably fare better disassociating from some of the TB crowd even if he’s united with them in judgement of TB.

AK is Aiden Kearney aka Turtleboy. I believe it was misunderstood that you meant she was TB mother so for clarification no it’s Grant Smith Ellis mother that was referred to!

Lived in Canton for a time as well. But grew up in Stoughton, nearby neighbors of the McCabes. Our mothers were quite friendly and my brother was good friends with the Matt McCabe's older brother who sadly died last year. Cancer, I think.

I heard about the party shortly after John died. I won't go into details because the texts I got about it weren't from people who knew anything about what happened, but suffice to say these folks were apparently all very hard partiers.

The U.S. Attorney's office won't object to the release of letters that were sent between them and the Norfolk DA. The DA had wanted those letters to be impounded.

LIVE: Karen Read Case Hearing - Federal Investigation

LIVE COURT CAM: A motions hearing on Thursday is expected to address a request by Karen Read's attorneys to release letters from federal investigators to the public. Read is accused of murdering her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, whose body was found in the snow outside of a fellow Boston officer’s home in Canton, Mass. Prosecutors have said Read hit O’Keefe with her car and left him to die in the snow. But Read’s defense team has said she never hurt O’Keefe and that she is being framed by the true killers, who may have been inside the house where the body was found.

#KarenRead attorney said the U.S. Attorney yesterday confirmed an ONGOING federal investigation into the Norfolk DA's office for its handling of this case.

This is huge, IMO. Anti-Karen Read people have been claiming the Feds closed up shop and are no longer investigating the DA's office. It's sounds like it is quite the opposite.
