Oh, I am sorry. I wonder why?
I have e-mailed Doe Network about lady of the dunes being a possible match for Amy Billig.
They said it was being compared and is looking unlikely to be a match, but they are looking into another UID I reported with lady of the dunes.
Can you post the other possible so it doesn't get submitted again. Multiples drive the investigators batty! Or so I've been told.:)

If they don't put the UID in NamUs and don't publicize their rule-out lists, they have no one to blame but themselves for being batty. :)

Aside from a few good thorough caring people 'over yonder' the system as a whole is in severe lack. I have heard no less than 3 explanations on exclusions....waiting on the 4th. I may go batty first!:woohoo:

The other one was Case 295UFFL, a UID Florida girl.

I guess I'm a little slow today -- what does this UID have to do with Lady in the Dunes? The cases don't seem similar at all.

Nothing to do with this UID. She was probably another possible match for Amy Billig. Mensch probably thought Amber1 was talking about a second submission for a possible match to LITD.

Ah, thanks, that makes sense. The Florida UID does look like a good Billig match.

I lived on the Cape in the early 90’s and remember when Hayden Clark was arrested. I left around the time that they were searching his family’s property in Wellfleet for Michelle Dorr’s body. I haven’t seen anything here about him possibly moving Laura Hotellings body from his parent’s grave. From what I remember the cadaver dog’s picked up her scent there. I always wondered how a freshly turned grave was unnoticed on an old grave site. I have always thought that he could be responsible for the “lady in the dunes” murder and maybe it was one of his first and didn’t have time to bury her. Was he working at the P-town restaurant in 1974? Also Provincetown held events on different weekends during tourist season, what kind of weekend could give a clue to who she was
And maybe she didn’t tell anyone where she was going due to that. (Some of them were pretty wild)

When Linda Lovell's casefile showed up in NamUs a few monts ago, I was really wanting to believe that she was LITD. The timeline was perfect. But I decided that there were too many discrepancies, and she had a much more squarish jawline.
