Not an expert, but remember to keep your grandson higher in the pack structure: speak to him first, hand him items first, cue the dog that Woof is below Grandson in the rankings.

Once took 2 dogs to visit my sister's house -- with four resident dogs. The top dogs sorted themselves out nicely, but the two bottom dogs, well, apparently neither one wanted to be the bottom of the bigger pack! No injuries, lots & lots of hackles.

The dogs determined to be responsible were euthanized according to the article. The neighbor who was called and found poor Ryan performed CPR without success. There is no report or indication that he had any problem with the dogs. It is my opinion that whatever happened was a single solitary circumstance that went horribly bad for whatever reason and we'll never know what it was.
