Interesting. L mentioned the brother in this podcast but they also said no family has helped search. First I thought the fingers were being pointed at siblings of Sandra. Are they being pointed at the son to?

If you read Sandra's official missing page on Facebook, which is adminned by family (I believe this type of page is allowed under Websleuths TOS), you will see that there are many members of her immediate and farther out (cousins, etc) family who were and are engaged with the searches. It's not just the daughter and SIL who are looking for her.

The specific allegations in the podcast did not deal with Sandra's nuclear family, so to speak.

Who do you think the SIL meant when said her family ( I think he meant sib's/ inlaws) were not in communication any longer with him or helping in anyway?

Snipped from @Yemelyan post #522 above
Therefore, I question where the ongoing/outgoing call info came from. Is it accurate and complete? Maybe yes or maybe no. It is doubtful that it came from court warranted information based on what is publicly known about the status of this case. IMO

Here is an interview and article (watch entire video)from a few weeks after Sandra disappeared.
Police Looking For Information After Hanson Grandmother 'Vanished' Weeks Ago
What do we think about the statement made in regards to the last call Sandra made was to her daughter? Do reporters have to fact check and was it Laina who provided this information?

I thought he meant Sandra's sibs, not his wife's sib BUT it was just my impression based on the totality of what I knew and saw...could be wrong.

Yes, it seemed he meant her sibs. I saw someone wrote, might of been yourself, that there were family members searching and helping. It just sounded like they all became uninvolved and not supportive, from his podcast that is.

I don't think all became unsupportive. The Find Sandra fb page shows that the family members who've been organizing searches, helping search and attending vigils from the beginning are still doing so. Those who have been silent from the beginning have apparently remained so, based on the podcast interview and that site.

Were none of the siblings are involved with the search.

I can’t find the official fb page. Does anyone have the link handy?

Yeah. I was just thinking of a time when my kids were young and one was seriously hurt on a walk around the block....an activity which we know Sandra did with the kids (from the podcast). I'd insist on it as a parent.

They have enough control over their mom's life to relocate her 45 minutes away when they felt it was in her best interest, to put money in a bank account for her to use, and micromanage her affairs down to buying her sheets and dishes (also from the podcast), but when it comes to carrying a flip phone, that's something where they have to pick their battles? It doesn't make sense to me. I'll admit that there are families out there with odd dynamics and this is likely one of them. But I think the lack of a cell phone is a red flag.
I agree with you about the red flag and have always felt that way, from the beginning.

Its only Laina and a cousin and a few friends that are involved.

The Facebook page is adminned by laIna and friends who were strangers.

A lot of people felt not having a cell phone was a bit remiss when she often looked after 3 young grandchildren.

If there was an accident or an incident when out-and-about, or in the car, she would not be able to call for help either with her family or paramedics etc. if she needed to. She lives semi-rural.

MOO: Why not have one? Just a simple one. It could save a life and she ready had a land-line, so it wasn't like Sandra was totally averse to phones.

I understand you think its important for the safety of the children but why is that a red flag in her disappearance? She did not work. Her look only income was what was left from selling the house.

I understand but I'm not sure its a red flag! If she stuck around the house with the kids I don't see the big deal and I don't see how it relates to her disappearance.
