wow. I believe this man tried to abduct me as well in 84/85 while I was walking home from elementary school in Wellesley. I do not know why I decided today to try to dig deeper into this. I did always think there was a connect w/ Sarah Pryor since we were the same age and it would have happened around the same time (I don't think I knew anything about Sarah Pryor when it happened though. So now finding this forum, if John did in fact grow up on Dunedin, that would mean he went to the same elementary school as me many years prior. It would make sense one of the areas he'd go to would be his elementary school where he was familiar with the area, and sounds like another girl was attempted kidnapped in another area of town around the same time. It also makes sense he'd be going around to multiple different towns.
I was walking home alone from school when I was approx 9 years old ('84/'85). It was a nice day, Spring or Fall. The road curved, and I remember exactly where I was when a car pulled up along side me driving very slowly as I was walking. It was in the curve of the road, right after I would have disappeared from the sight of someone who was at the school. It was also a quiet street, and not the street traffic would travel on to/from the school......He was trying to talk to me as I was walking along and I ignored him and he continued. After a few seconds, I remember stopping and looking at him and he stopped the car and said something (i couldn't hear him) and he waved me over towards the car. I knew this was not okay. Luckily my instincts kicked in, and I turned and RAN (i was fast!)in the direction he had come from, back towards to the school. Luckily I did not run forward!!! He took off quickly in the car. As I saw the car drive off out of sight, I ran down a path that cut through the woods to my house. Of course I should have just run back to the school & told someone !!! I never told anyone about it, I'm not sure why. For some reason I think the car was brown but I'm not certain. That area is close to Newton and the T stations so he could have possibiy gone there afterwards. I'm so sorry for what these families have gone through. What a monster.
