It says he married in 1978, that doesn't fit with the information... Maybe she was his fiancee in 1974.

New on NamUs is a 19-30 year old, white female with brown hair found in New Hampshire in April 1974. Five foot three. Hmmmm..... Could this be Vickie?

Oh I think so! Friday, February 1, 1974 she told her husband she was going to Maine that weekend with a girlfriend. That friend later said they had no such plans. I’m sure Barker told Vicke not to say the Maine trip was with him. Sounds like things were coming to a head in their affair and she gave him an ultimatum. He had to silence her quick and didn’t want to ruin his reputation and the planned trip to Vail with his wife. So he ‘takes her to Maine’ and problem solved.
UP15863 was found 60 miles away in Marlborough, NH on 4/16/1974. With a height of 5’3”, unknown weight, dark reddish brown hair 12”-15” long, and estimated age of 19-30.

This is a photo of Barker's second wife/widow. It is part of an article written about her participation in a protest on campus. To me, it looks like it could be her. The timing of their marriage, her career path, her features, all like VVL. If it is her, all she did was change her name and identity and move seamlessly on with her new life.
