I think we are seeing the Campaign Manager at work. According to Gerry's Blog, she flew in , I think it was 4 days ago--changing eveything from how the Blog is written and more event pressers.

Would love to know the reasons why they think Madelaine is still in Portugal, they must have more evidence that the media has not got hold of yet, and the P/LE are not saying anything till they find out if they are right.

They quote in these ads that Madelaine was snatched, but there is no proof of this, it is another ploy by their campaign team to take the focus of the McCanns so that people will not think the McCanns were involved in any way or the cause of her disappearance. Very sneaky.

Sadly, I think this is probaby a way of saying they think she is no longer alive and her remains are probably somewhere in portugal. Maybe they are finally saying here they don't consider the idea of her being snatched and taken out of the country the likly scienerio. Her parents seem to have decided themselves before an investiagion even began that she was taken by a pedafile ring. I have never been comfortable with theire immediate belief of this explanation.

Here is the rough English translation for the information on Robert Murat that Petra found.

I think this is true. In all the information that came out from those Portuguese journalists about the McCanns and their friends, it was stressed that Madeleine disappeared- it was her parents who insisted she'd been kidnapped. But there isn't anything to support this claim except information from the people who vacationed with them. And IMO, their claims are suspect.

More focus on Madeleine, less on the parents' activities and even better spelling. No, this isn't the same person at all.

Madeleine's Eye Holds Vital Clue


Madeleine McCann's family believe a new picture of the missing four-year-old could play a vital role in the search for her.
The photo of the youngster shows clearly her distinctive right eye, where the pupil runs into the blue-green iris.

It is this distinguishing mark that will identify Madeleine to those on the lookout for her, according to aunt and uncle John and Diane McCann.

The Glasgow couple aim to distribute the appeal poster, which features the Crimestoppers telephone number, as far afield as they can.

Family friend Andrew Renwick told Sky News that support for the search had been "overwhelming" and her family were extremely grateful.

MA, I think this is from the first couple of days after Madeleine disappeared. I remember pictures of her eye being distributed very quickly, and the "Look For Madeleine" slogan using it came out early. She's been world-wide news for way over a month. But it certainly doesn't hurt to be reminded.

I remember reading somewhere that the little girl sighted at the petrol station was asking for her mommy. But not sure if the little girl sighted was Madelaine. That is the only time I recall anything about anyone who might have seen or thought it was Madelaine speaking.
Im not much help as there really hasnt been any new developments.

Hm. You know, my son will ask for me when he is with his dad. He often says "Where Mommy go?" and "I want my mommy", so imo the most probable explanation of a child asking for their mother is that they were not madeleine but rather a child wanting their mommy.

This makes no sense to me considering that the mother came screaming out that "they've taken her" as soon as she found madeleine missing. If they thought she wandered off, thats in direct conflict with the "They've taken her" statements and additionally, if there was reason to believe she'd been taken, they'd have called the police right away.

Granted I do not know how much of this story has been twisted by BAD REPORTING, but I do know that there are so many inconsistencies that the parents aren't questioning or clearing up, it certainly is odd.

And they certainly do not paint a picture of devoted caring parents in that article. I understand wanting an adult getaway. I don't understand why you'd take the children on one.

I wish the Madeleine thread had its own forum. There are so many ideas and possibilities that it's hard to contain it in just a thread.

The story they are selling is one based simply on conjecture. That is not a story but a theory and theories are meant to be tested to be proven or disproved. In this case the parents do not seem intrested at all in the proving of their theory. Their whole focus appears to be raising funds by selling their theory. They have placed selling the theory as their mission statement as opposed to finding Maddie, which is what it should be. This has turned many people off and made them suspicious of the parents. Personitly it makes me sick to my stomach and makes me think that in this case the lack of effort to prove or dissprove their theory is indicidive of the fact they either allready know its a false theory or all they care about is money .

Either the parents are very dumb and don't realize that their actions make them look suspicious, or they have such high-placed friends who can cover for them that they don't care. The problem comes when public opininon begins to turn against the parents, and these "friends" start realizing that saving their own arses is more important.
