Okay, while I do think this idea is a little far-fetched, it does bring up an interesting point or two.

One I had never thought of: when KM discovers Maddie missing, she leaves the twins alone AGAIN to return to the restaurant to tell her friends and husband.

Do these people not own a cell phone? Could she not have scooped up the twins and taken them with her? Believing a kidnapper nearby, how could she have just left them there again?

It is bizarre.

That is exactly what I thought from the very start of this....what she went yelling "they've taken her" never made sense to me. I have 5 kids of my own and I've gone through this many times in my mind.....and yes, it's only speculation on my part, but that thought of they have taken her would NOT be the first thought I had....She's gone, I can't find her, Come quick she's missing all fit how I might react but it never sat well with me that she immediately said someone had taken her as if it was somehow rehearsed. Then the fact that she left the babies there ALONE AGAIN....IF your first thought is someone has taken your child you would NOT leave your other two children alone in the same area just out of fear alone. Yet she did, she ran out of the apartment and back to the bar. In my experience if you even witness something very traumatizing that involves children (even if it's on tv) you grab them and hold them close. Once again this is just my opinion and I stopped posting about this a while back because I was told I was stupid and didn't understand what they went through to judge their reactions. I'm actually just glad that people are at least looking into the parents involvement in this. Parts of the story just do not fit and their reactions as parents have been all wrong to me.

The McCann sure looked like they had lost a little girl didnt they, the onlookers looked more like they had lost someone, GM was laughing and then the other photo, which was taken 3 months after, you could tell they had had a hard 3 months, Im sure KM probably still gets her hair and nails done while the twins are in day care, and GM is counting the money.
This makes me physically sick.

And just one more thing....they continued to put the twins in childcare right after this happened. One thing I can say for sure as a mother is if one of my children was taken from me you would have to pry the others away from me out of fear of it happening again. I would want them in my sight at all times yet she continually does things like go jogging while they are at childcare, go for walks, etc. all without them, that reaction is just cold. Even if she had nothing to do with this I cannot believe she could react like this as a mother.

These parents are unbelievable, I cannot fathom what is going on in their minds, they should be burnt at the stake. Totally Gobsmacked.

I'd react the same. There's no way I'd let the other children out of my sight. This reminds me of the Ramsey's. With everything that was going on with the "foreign faction" and the kidnapping, they just allowed Burke to take his new Xmas toy and head off to the White's. That didn't make any more sense to me than what the McCann's have done.

This just brought tears to my eyes. Incredible! Those attorneys they hired must just be quick on the draw! Unbelieveable. I know I think they did it, but I do try to keep an open mind and am willing to explore any bits of info that would point in another direction. But this........ makes me wonder why I am trying. Poor Maddie. To become an instrument for obtaining wealth just makes me sick. The attorneys should have been told to back off for a decent period of time. A minimum of 3 months. 15 days, and sightings galore in Malta or where ever it was.......

And no money for a PI - JDee I'm SCREAMING again!

Tell me they don't know she isn't coming back......

After reading many posts, the general concensus seems to be that the parents are somehow involved in her abduction.
My question is this: WHY would two affluent parents be interested in
selling" their daughter to a pedophile?

I don't think anyone implied or thinks they sold the child. I certainly don't. I believe they left her alone in a hotel room and she got out and died in an accident.

I'll also say I feel there is merit in the overdosing scenario.

She was quite small, and could easily fit in a suitcase. i also gather that there is a large body of water near the resort. I also doubt anyone would question what appeared to be a sleeping child in her fathers arms.

If I didn't find him, I'd be calling the front desk to have them put everyone on alert because the next logical step is to assume he left the room looking for me. It woudln't occur to me that someone "took" him, until later. When it had time to sink in.

Staged seems the simplest answer. I believe in occams razor.

Not in my view. This thread has become twisted because some posters choose to blame the parents even though the police are completely satisfied that Madelaine's parents had "Nothing" to do with her abduction. Shazza you may believe you know better than the police but I don't. I pray she is soon reunited with them soon.

I'm not sure I've seen the information that shows that the police have cleared the McManns.
