This just brought tears to my eyes. Incredible! Those attorneys they hired must just be quick on the draw! Unbelieveable. I know I think they did it, but I do try to keep an open mind and am willing to explore any bits of info that would point in another direction. But this........ makes me wonder why I am trying. Poor Maddie. To become an instrument for obtaining wealth just makes me sick. The attorneys should have been told to back off for a decent period of time. A minimum of 3 months. 15 days, and sightings galore in Malta or where ever it was.......

And no money for a PI - JDee I'm SCREAMING again!

There are a few that post here regularly, that have to take a break to clear our heads, this case really gets to you and the Madelaines parents are making this worse. This is a nightmare.

I'll throw this out for consideration. Take it for what it is worth.

I have been reading about the possibility of a connection between Murat and the McCanns. Pure speculation I believe. They may have known him before May 3rd. He ordered a car and told the rental agency that he needed it for the McCann's (so they could paste posters in the windows :waitasec and at the time of the rental he had two vehicles parked in his driveway. Then this latest "report" surfaces that he magically appeared in their apartment on the eveing Maddie dissapears? The timeline of all this is muddy but it is worth consideration. If anyone would know the area it would be Murat and if there was anybody who would help in a coverup it would be Murat and if the McCanns wanted somebody on the payroll.....

I know I can depend on you guys not to flame me but I can tell you that my butt is toasted from other forums!

I too argree Colomom, it is a logical and believable conclusion to come to.
You are a great sleuther and come up with feasibly theories, the story about Murat is definitely one to consider, it makes sense.
Keep up the good sleuthing.

What is going on as far as the search for Maddie? Is there a search going on for her? I do not consider fund raising events as searching for a missing child? I spoke to someone from Great Britan and she says the PR for Maddie is everywhere. She said even in the cinema before the movies start. This is nice I guess but is anyone out in the streets of the resort looking for this child? Are there leeds being followed up? I think we need to send Greta over to Portugal to find out what really is going on?

Family involvement
Dismissed as a possibility by Portuguese police. Ch Insp Sousa clarified on Thursday that the McCanns are not suspects. He said the couple had been asked to attend the police station simply to review their statements.

Its been pointed out on DS that picture was taken on May20th - 17 days after their precious child was alledgedly abducted.

Makes no difference to me, I know I wouldn't be smiling like that if my child could still be in the clutches of an evil paedo.....some peoples defence of this charade absolutely stuns me.

My next question would be: has PLE ever solved a case? I know that sounds sarcastic and I don't really mean it that way. However, there are so many things that are generally done in a standard investigation that appear NOT to have happened here. So is the media just trying to make PLE look bad because they have a secrecy rule, or what?

I went back and read the whole thread from that point on.. It suggested several times that the Mrs. M. has attempted suicide. Is this true? I haven't heard this or seen it reported anywhere else..

Me too MG. The bruises to me though look like the kind you get when someone squeezes your arm too tight. A hand print. I firmly believe now that they are staying in Portugal out of fear of being prosecuted for child endangerment and or child neglect.
This whole thing has gotten down right creepy to me. I am not convinced they hurt their child other than leaving her alone, but I am convinced they put her in danger by leaving her alone and what happened after that is where the mystery lies. How very strange and odd that there is this 'secret' silence among the group that was there. Like a friggin conspiracy theory.

and also IF the suicide rumor is true... and again I state I haven't run down an article that states this other than forum chatter... why would you kill yourself if there was a chance your child would be returned? I would think that you would hold onto the very last thread of life...
