Cali I didn't know the trolls had hit the Leicester Services petition site with 🤬🤬🤬🤬! I quit visiting the Mirror because of the 🤬🤬🤬🤬.. I am very thankful we do not have to contend with that here!
This is all just insane! I feel like we are dealing with the Johnny Gosh conspiracy stuff...!!

It was awful, Jdee. I signed the petition within the first couple of days it was posted, and my signature was within the first 200. Already it was littered with the most disgusting stuff.

I'm stunned they have sunk so low... what next? When I saw the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 posters at Mirror it appeared they were not English because the way they worded things was spoken with an accent in poor English.. if that makes sense.

The McCanns haven't done a lot of what people suggested about finding Madeleine. Posting pictures of her altered appearance, hiring detectives, going to Malta. No, they just want to rely on the Maddie posters and appeal to people's kindness and good sense to keep their eyes open. Because that doesn't cost money or put them out in any way.

He made not ONE plea for her last night. Asked not once for people to keep their eyes open, if any American's were on the beach there or visited that resort the week Maddie disappeared, to please send copies of their pictures to PJ! WHY? He had access to millions more people the past few days. To even ask people travelling abroad during our vacation season, to PLEASE keep a look out for her and call. I simply don't understand it.

I dont mean all parents who take their children to Daycare are not good parents, I have two girls and when they were little they went to Daycare 2 days a week, and those 2 days I did everything around the house and all those things like paying bills, shopping etc which is easier to do without littlies, but on all the other days I spent my time with my daughters.
I felt it was a good idea that my children were put into daycare to interact with others, to help with social skills, sharing etc.

But the McCanns have been noted as saying that Kate cannot handle her children, so Daycare was the easy way out. Then they leave them alone at night etc. We all know the McCann story, so will not dredge it all up again.
Daycare is essential these days as the cost of living is so high that sometimes both parents are required to work to make ends meet.
So Bethinak I am in no way saying that parents are not parents or good parents if they put their children in Day care.

Shazza, I know you didnt' mean it that way, I'm having a very bad week (lost a beloved pet very suddenly) and perhaps am a bit oversensitive.
Forgive me please.

Mr McCann said: "We were dining 50 yards away. We could see the apartment where we were. It was almost like dining in our own garden.
"The kids were sound asleep and we were checking on them regularly. We didn't think we needed a babysitter."

Ok, when I dine in my "garden" its FAR less than 50 YARDS away from my house. And my yard is large for american standards, let alone english "garden" standards (very tiny yards in the UK). Additionally, when I dine in my garden, hundreds of strangers dont' have have access to my childs room without passing me. In fact, I can see the door to the house thats accessible from the street from the "garden".

So tell me another one, GM. This one stinks.

I'm sorry to hear that. Peace to you and your beloved pet. My dog is truly a member of our family. My heart will lose a piece when she's gone.

At least the Anorak is not scared....

and Beth, if I was in my garden and my kiddos were that young you can bet that I would have a baby monitor!! I think one reason we get so ticked with GM is that he seems to think we are stupid...:snooty:

Here's the question I have had about that site since early in this case - when you do a google search and they come up it say's "(satire)" with the link. :waitasec:

I am not seeing that Carpe, what exactly do you enter in the google search?? I get this:

Inside News: Anorak
Anorak - news and celebrity stripped bare on the inside.

I just learned that the word "satire" has different meanings in different places. So one of our UK posters should tell us what that means exactly there.

I do. Either they've given up on finding Madeleine or they know more than they'll admit about her disappearance.

GM seems like a classic example of a narcissist. His behavior is scary, and he seems so cold. I almost feel sorry for his wife because I sense she is bullied by him. I can see her being the one who wanted to stay in for dinner or hire a nanny and him telling her no.

Ok, when I dine in my "garden" its FAR less than 50 YARDS away from my house. And my yard is large for american standards, let alone english "garden" standards (very tiny yards in the UK). I used to live on 2 acres which is far beyond 50 yards in some places of my "yard". There were parts of our lot that I would not go when the little ones were asleep simply because I didn't feel comfortable being out of earshot and the baby monitor didn't carry that far. I would never have considered eating across two parking lots, several sidewalks and a swimming pool safe.

Beth, I am so sorry for your loss. Our family cat died in April, and I was devastated. She was like a child to me.

I do. Either they've given up on finding Madeleine or they know more than they'll admit about her disappearance.

Ed Smart didn't act like this. Neither did the Walsh's. Neither did the Van Dam's, or Mark Lunsford. They BEGGED, layed their lives COMPLETELY open. Their close friends did too, nomatter what the peril. In the Van Dam case, a witness lost their job, but they were HONEST.

Agreed. Every single parent I've ever heard of in other cases do EVERYTHING possible to get information about their missing children out in front of the public. But not in the way the McCanns have. Not with all the weird crap they've pulled. Most parents provide detailed descriptions, beg people to keep watch, and at least look like they care.

Hey BethInAK, no worries, sorry to hear about the loss of your pet.
This thread makes all of us a little oversensitive. Prayers to you and your family.:blowkiss:

There is a post in here from djazz that sums it all up for me.

WORST MOTHER OF THE YEAR KATE MCCANN

25.07.07, 7:59pm
Clues to missing Madeleine lie with Kate McCann.

In nature, mothers fight for their cubs, but what of her?
She arrived at the flat and found the bed empty, but the twins sleeping peacefully in the same room. She doesn’t scream but turns on her heels back to the tapas to scream there, “they’ve taken her”.

What would a normal woman do?
Scream for help - not her
Bang on the neighbours flat for help - not her
Check to see if the predator was still there with M - not her
Shout for Gerry - remember he was within sight and sound, according to their account - not her
Put the twins under each arm to safeguard them and run - not her
The predator may have only been outside, a scream could have caused him to leave M and flee - not her
Running screaming for help through the street - not her
Shout at people to check swimming pool etc - not her

She left her twins alone there for another attack by the predator and claims they would die for their kids. What a joke!

What sort of woman would do that?

Perhaps one who knows the twins were “relatively safe” as she knows it wasn’t an abduction.

Lets all wake up and think. The McCannÂ’s story stinks!

End Post/

This woman sums it up perfectly for me. IMO

I hope I am not going against TOS by posting her post here BUT this is exactly how I feel. I told my Hubby when Maddie first disappeared I suspect the McCanns and this is exactly why.

No Mum would run back to the Restaurant after finding her dau "missing" and leave her twins alone in the very room where she disappeared from.

Regardless of all the other info we have now, which only adds to my suspicion of these so called parents...

This has bugged me from the get go.

Oh THANK YOU FOR POSTING THAT HERE. That must be saved and repeated.

How many of us have had a child disappear from our home? If we haven't then how do we know what we would do when we walked into the room and found our child gone? We might think we would know what we would do but I think shock would set in so fast that it would be impossible to think straight.

When I received a call telling me that my daughter had been shot by her ex husband I just went into shock. I kept running from the frontroom to the hallway trying to decide what I should do. I wanted to go to the town where she had been shot but I couldn't seem to make a clear decision. It wasn't anything like I would have thought it would be. I just couldn't think straight and I would imagine that is the way Kate Mc felt when she walked in and found her daughter missing.

Before it happened I probably would have said...well if that ever happened to one of my kids I would grab my car keys and run to my car and head for where ever as fast as I could get there to be with her. Not so. We don't know how we will react until tragedy strikes in our own family.
