Thanks for the artcile Cali.. And once again it is stated as fact ..
"The Policia Judiciária, being sure of Maddie´s death in the apartment in Praia da Luz"...
and not speculation. They HAVE to have something or KNOW something to be so certain.

Its stated as a fact in some foreign newspaper, not by the police. I'm withholding judgement.

 I didn't see that coming.

Maybe she quit them! Maybe she saw the writing on the wall and decided to get out before her career was ruined. And it could be that GM, who wouldn't admit anything that makes him look bad, decided to put a "positive spin" on it.

It would be very interesting to hear what has been said behind closed doors between the McCanns and the two who used to represent them- Clarence Mitchell and Justine McGuinness.

Yep, that's where it is truly unbelievable what happened. Of all the things they/Kate did that night, that is strike three for me.

Leaving the twins in that room after finding Maddie mssing is absolulty undigestable to me. There is no way, no how if a child of mine was missing and I believed that child abducted I would let my other children out of sight probably not even out of my arms. Now I have no business passing judgment because I do not even have children. However, I have seen that most basic instinct in my sister and my own mother when it comes to protecting there children and it is an instamatic, automatic response. For example I watched my mother grab my 5 year old brother out of the jaws of a 90 pound visious dog without even hesitation. She explains what she did as absolulty automatic pilot. There was a threat she protected her child.

I remember being 9 years old, out sledding on an icy, hilly street with a bunch of friends. My little sister was 4, and a parked car began sliding towards us. Without hesitation I plucked her up onto the curb, and I was just her sister, not a mom. Normal people have instincts about protecting those they love, and KM's behavior is just not right.

That is another example of what I believe is a primial instinctive behavior amongst love ones and probably strongest between a mother and her child. I recall once my mom and I were walking and a man pulled a shotgun on us!! My mother instantly shoved me behind her back. We had unkowingly tresspassed onto this guys property. Thankfully he didn't shoot. My mothers reaction was so quick and with no thought just plan instinct.

I agree with you guys BUT I do know someone that was a mother of a very young child.. she was out in her yard with him when a car swung up in her driveway in a high rate of speed.. She stomped over to the car to yell at the guy to be careful that there were kids around.. then he got out and pointed a gun at her and ordered her to get in the car. Her child was standing in between them and she reached for him out of instinct but kids being kids and he was young.. pulled away toward the guy.. the mother turned and ran screaming. The guy left and nobody was hurt and the cops told her she did the right thing because if she had gotten in the car likely she would not be seen again..
Now would I run off and leave my kid near a man with a gun? I have to say no... but if you ask this mother the same question she would have said no too... BUT...
Not to throw a wrench out there but wierd things do go awry when you are in a panic...

So interesting they were asked NOT to use the Mark Warner Ocean Club crêche.

I would think that under the circumstances the resort would wish to distance themselves from the McCanns as much as possible without being rude or hostile. At least until this is sorted out and culpability is determined.

Hi guys, my youngest dd had a car accident this morning, so have been with her, she is okay but the car is a mess.

Have just been catching up, why wasnt DNA taken from the parents and even their friends at the beginning of this whole mess, it may have saved a lot of time, I do think the P LE know more than they are telling. Hope this is all over soon.

I may be back later, had an emotional day today, bit wrung out.

Thanks Petra it was pretty scary, but she has whiplash, I took her to the doctors and she just has to take antiflammatorys and just take it easy for a day or two. I dont give two hoots about the car, my darling daughter is okay that means more to me than anything.

This is the latest we are hearing here in Aussie land.

Hi Shazza. Take what time you need, don't worry about us. Two of my children have been in bad car crashes (luckily unhurt but should've been judging by the looks of the cars), and I know how worrisome they can be. Give your dd lots of cuddles and care.

Love, Cali

Thanks CaliKid, she sure gets plenty of hugs and kisses. It just makes you realise how much your kids mean to you, its kinda ironic how I am talking about getting the biggest fright you can get when you know your kids are in danger, I just dropped everything and drove the hour it took to get to her. The McCanns leave their children alone for hours and often and just dont give it a second thought. Mmmmmmm.:banghead:

Me too Shazza...sending hugs and thanking my higher power that she is ok!!
:blowkiss:

Anybody else (in the US) see CNN American Morning with GM & KM being interviewed about how they "will not be bullied out of Portugal"?

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/world/2007/08/10/intv.mccann.family.itn

IMO, GM sounded a bit frantic...voice raised...definately stressed. KM...nothing but pi$$ed!

I am thinking that Mark Warner had to tell them not to bring the twins because the media presence was just too intense. You know how crazy they can get. Other parents would be very uncomfortable. If I worked PR for Mark Warner I would think it would be better for them to cater to the McCanns (until the worst was confirmed) than to appear to be alienating them. I read that MW offered "alternative arrangements" which might explain the 50ish woman who showed up at the Villa yesterday. A private nanny?

I am really hoping that today brings us some solid answers.

Thankyou Colomom, :blowkiss: for your concern regarding my dd, she is doing great.

It was particularly hard to watch that video of the McCanns today, I can only pray for Madelaine, I just cant find the words tonight. Hoping for news soon.
