LOL, Heather, you're just SOOOO good at it!!!

:blowkiss: You really DO rock!!!!!!
Heather we would be lost without you,:blowkiss: after catching up on the reading I am totally confused, on the news here in Aussie Land they are saying Madelaine McCann maybe dead, pray this is not true.

I found a picture of a bedroom and the living room of the apartment on a psychic website operated by Brian. I don't know anything about his accuracy, but he had an extensive page going on Madeleine based on information that people were sending him about the case. Around a month ago he had to stop making predictions when the McCanns threatened to sue him.

http://🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.com/dd/5441.htm

If you look a little lower than halfway down the page, the first picture you come to is of twin beds with floral spreads. Go a bit further down and you'll see to the right a photo of the living area. I have no idea if this is the right bedroom or not.

Hello CaliKid, hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I had to jump in and tell you that the pictures you refer to are pictures that people sent to Brian to try to tie into his predictions of where she was being held by her kidnapper (the poster writes "where Maddie is") and they were posted after her kidnapping. You will notice in the picture of the livingroom there is a reference to Estrela Da Luz, different resort. Scroll down just a bit and you will see a photo of the Estrela Da Luz resort.

Anybody else think it is time we had our own thread under Spolight Cases? That way we could have separate threads for pictures, maps, theories, the people involved, etc. I have tons of stuff I could post! I have written to Windchime but if anyone else has any ideas how we could make this happen, please help.

:blowkiss: to all of you for all your great sleuthing!

Most definitely...there has been no resolution in three months and there is now the possibility that the parents may end up suspects....I think we definitely need our own forum!

I watched the entire interview. I didn't think the parents appeared nervous, but I did feel a certain sense of denial/stubbornness? Coached answers when Kate says in regards to the negative comments, "That would be very...unhelpful."

Why? If there are thousands, as she says, of positive, supportive messages, does she really think that a few people who are suspicious of them (after all, they did leave their children unattended) would stop someone else from recognizing what is surely the world's most famous missing child, at this point?

Does she think a few negative comments on a website would stop someone from trying to collect a reward, if that person had factual knowledge of where Madeleine was/is?

No, she's just making a scripted answer. I noticed that every time the reporter brought up the issue of the McCanns' possible guilt, they very smoothly skirted that right into "that would be unhelpful" kind of answers, making it seem that anybody who even questions their innocence is somehow personally blocking Madeleine's return.

They just came across as very scripted, very coached, very controlled--just my impression.

The paper quotes a police source as saying: "When Kate tucked Madeleine up in bed earlier in the evening she had the toy tightly in her arms as she did every night.
"So Kate was terrified when she spotted it had been left in a place too high for her to reach.
"It was because of these things that she had no doubt Madeleine had been kidnapped and she ran out to scream for help."

HOW COVEEENIENT! Odd that this little tidbit about "cuddle cat" should appear 3 months after Kate McCann screamed "They have taken her."

It took the McCanns' press people all that time to come up with a not very plausible reason for the delinquent mother to immediately assume the kidnapping of a child who often ran off on her own.

If Maddie was the energetic child everyone describes, she no doubt tossed "cuddle cat" around quite vigorously after lights out! That is the logical reason why the toy was found on high.

Now I really believe that Kate McCann is a liar.

Oh well, I tried.

Yes, we need our own forum. Stuff is getting lost and is too hard to find later.

Here is something interesting: http://www.ackadia.com/home/blog/blog-2007-may-find-madeleine-mccann.php

This person brings up a very good point? Why wasn't the Find Madeleine site in any language besides English?

Cali,

You rock, and like I told you in that PM I just sent you, you are a big, big part of what keeps this thread alive! I would like to thank you for all your contributions. Your posts always make me think!

Thanks Shazza, Petra, EnglishLeigh....for your kind words. I am determined to figure out the truth and lucky for me, I quit my job in April and decided to stay home with my kiddos for the summer. Plus it has been sooooo hot here this summer we rarely go out during the day. Gives me lots of time for sleuthing!

Petra: you asked about the "barnehagen" and sorry but, what is that? Never heard of it. Please explain. You and Reannan asked about the amenities included in the McCanns holiday and I am fairly certain they were entitled to everything the resort offered as part of a package (I could be wrong) they purchased. The apartment is located "outside" the resort and was privately owned but Mark Warner acted as a property manager. Somewhat like a timeshare here in the States. The details listed in that 5A listing may not be exactly what the McCanns had, not sure on that.

I also want to apologize to anyone who has asked a question that I might have missed. I really enjoy helping clarify things for you all. If I missed you, please PM me and I will do my best to find you an answer. This thread is really hopping these days...I am not complaining, I think it is great!

Keep it up!

~peace

Actually, Pinkhammer, I remember hearing a brief statement about the stuffed toy being placed in an unusual location very early on in the investigation. I don't think Kate is lying about this one. I sort of wonder how much of the confusion in this case is related to the language differences? I have said it before, and I will say it again....I wish Portugal had a National Enquirer, or a Nancy Grace to give US, i.e the Websleuth crowd, enough information to get to the bottom of this mystery.

I also meant to tell Colomom to take a bow for those pictures of 5A! Nice job!!!

I think barnehagen is another word for early childhood/day care.

Thanks Texana, in that case I am not sure. I have read many references to how the creche and late night creche (babysitting) service were free and people could not understand why they did not take advantage of it. I believe that they would only have to pay additional to have a sitter come stay in the apartment. That being the case, I assume it was part of the package deal (don't quote me though).

I also agree with your feeling about the answers the McCanns gave in the latest interviews felt "rehearsed and/or scripted" but you know what really made me uncomfortable? It was at the very end where Kate was asked if she had a message for Maddie and she sort of laughs (as if it was such a stupid question) and then says something like..."that we love her...she knows we love her'. It felt so insincere to me. Unlike Auntie Phil's message where she called Maddie "pet". That was much different.

I just don't "get" them, I really don't. :(

Are any of the sleuthers who found the actual apartment able to tell from mapquest or Google Earth what the actual distance is to the Tapas bar. I've read anywhere from 20 to 200 yards, and I'm really curious what it was.

It's 120 yards as the crow flies, across two parking lots, a swimming pool, a wall and behind several hedges. But walking is almost twice that.

I have one huge problem with the significane this article is attaching to Cuddle Cat and that is that the Mccans have had Cuddle cat in their possesion since after Maddie disspaeared. I belive if the Mccaans stated that Cuddle Cats position indicated it had come in contact with a kidnapper that cat would be considred evidence and be under lock and key in LE possesion. They would not be free to carry the cat and wash it no less. These actions in my mind dispute what this article is alledging.>>

I think it's far more likely that the McCann's moved cuddlecat...either to divert the investigation from the McCanns or to prevent it from being seized as evidence to have a keepsake to remember her.

I know I'm a day behind and pages away from you guys but I MUST comment now about this timeline because I am so fuming mad I could SCREAM!!!!! Please forgive me if you guys have said this in the next pages and I'm repeating...................

in Sol on August 11:

The ‘movie’ of the night

After collecting all the elements, and crossing information from various sources, SOL’s investigation makes a reconstitution of the night that Maddie disappeared.

6 p.m. The McCanns pick their children up at the Ocean Club’s creche.
7.30 Madeleine and the twins go to bed.
8.30 Gerry and Kate arrive at the Tapas restaurant.
8.45 Russell, Matthew and Rachel Oldfield go to the restaurant.
8.55 David and Fiona Payne also arrive at the Tapas. According to David, all the elements of the group were already there. But Rachel assures that Matthew arrived two or three minutes after the Paynes.
9.00 Matthew went to check on the children.
9.05 Gerry left the Tapas to check on his children. When he is returning to the dinner, he meets Jeremy Wilkins – an english man he met during the holidays – and chats with him for ten minutes. Neither Gerry nor Jeremy notice Jane or the suspicious man that she says she saw, although they were all on the same narrow street at the same time.
9.10 Jane went to check on her children and notices a man walking hastily, carrying a child. She memorizes the suspect, but fails to recognize Maddie.
9.25 Gerry returns to Tapas. Russell told PJ that at this time Matt and he went to check the children.
9.30 Matthew goes into Madeleine’s apartment. Russell O’Brien leaves the restaurant at the same time. In the first statements, Matt does not refer anything strange in Madeleine’s room and Russell fails to explain that he stayed in his apartment because his younger daughter was feeling sick. Later, Matt said that he noticed more light in the McCanns’ apartment and Russell revealed his daughter was vomiting.
9.35 Matthew Oldfield returned to Tapas.
9.45 Jane Tanner says at this time – not at 9.30 – Matthew and Russell left the restaurant.
9.55 Russell returns to the restaurant.
10.00 Jane goes to the apartment and notices her daughter has disappeared. She goes back to Tapas and raises the alarm. Everybody leaves the restaurant, except Dianne Webster.
10.05 Dianne Webster goes into Maddie’s room. The twins are sleeping.
22.15 Dianne returns to Tapas, to pick up her purse and her camera.

First off this time line make this enitre evening seem like a revolving door of people coming and going. What every 5 minutes one of the parents left on rounds???? My head was spinning just trying to keep up. When would any of them have time to relax and enjoy their evening that was so important to them to leave the children in the first place??? I'm not buying this load of crap for one minute. If they were that worried about those kids then they would not of left them alone in the first place!!!

And I think that this whole group needs to be charged with neglect!!! Who leaves a sick child to go to a dinner party???? I'm sorry if your child is sick and vomiting YOU DONT LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! What kind of Doctors are these people??? We certainly know they are not great parents!!!!

Ok...back to trying to catch up with everyone
