Linda, the only thing regarding the questioning, is they could have been thinking that if they answered and then were arrested/subsequently possibly convicted because of those answers, then their two other kids would be without their parents. OR.......they are guilty, that's why they didn't want to answer. I fully, fully believe the LATTER, not the first. If they truly were innocent, then they would have no thinking or no fear of being possibly convicted.
What gets me about their interviews is.....they spend most of the time talkng about the media and how the media is printing false reports, and how the media is "intrusive" in their personal lives. Regarding Madeleine, they simply say "we are trying," "we are still looking," and other short phrases like that. But when asked about any leads they have, sometimes they act like they genuinely don't know (perhaps because there are none). They say in vague terms, like oh I think there was one in Spain, etc.. Then in another interview, they basically said they don't get excited about any leads because they usually don't end up anywhere. They said, they let the investigators do that and then they will tell us if it leads anywhere. But if it was your daughter, wouldn't you want to know??? No matter how benign??
I truly think they killed that child on purpose. If it was an accident, why can't they summon any emotion for the poor girl?? Ok, I'll even give them the cover-up, they panicked, they were afraid of going to jail, they were afraid their other two kids would be taken away....it doesn't make any sense but I'm even willing to give them all of that.....but what explains their lack of emotion afterwards???? There is no explanation for this!!!! It was an accident, they must miss her, right??? They must genuinely grieve and mourn her, right?? No explanation whatsover to explain that other than they wanted that child dead.
