Having been involved in festival work and planning, this one seems very casual and fairly sure it wouldn’t get through standard health and safety checks or risk assessments!! I did notice use of an exercise ball like the one in the photo though!

This sounds an awful thing to say but she may be suffering from( early onset) dementia, or a little forgetfulness, now at this stage of her life - I realise not all old people do but it could be a possibility?

I think to be cunning and manipulative you have to be kind of clever, maybe not super intelligent, but clever, he has no moral compass its totally gone from him, and from a young age, he is self-serving and would as they say sell his granny for a penny ! He is cold and uses logic, rather than emotion, its like he is empty, hollow, Id say this man has demons so embedded within him that I don't think he could ever change, I do think he would do anything as was driven by money and weird power, He stole, he was prob a gigolo with older women in PDL, Id say he did make vids to sell on the DW, I'd also say if anyone wanted a job done he would be the man, even taking kids, I don't think he is a Paedo, I think everything is game for him, he takes what he wants either for personal use or mainly money, the rapes we know about were filmed, the animals filmed, money IMO is number 1 to CB, and of course, he is a total Psychopath, but not that stupid.

It doesn't matter about the actual age of his victims - he preyed on the vulnerable, anyone who was vulnerable in his eyes -

having looked more closely at the Sandra F film. and doing some more google translating, yet more links with the 72 year old and HB. if any more were even needed. these crimes are so similar, at first i thought i was reading about the same attack. if nothing else, CB really needs to stand trial for the HB rape.

CB was only there 15 minutes, surely no time to look in every box for scissors. this pretty much shows CB had been in the house before, imo. and HB was sure her attacker had prior knowledge of her home too.

72 year old also confirms the filming was done with a small, silver camera. set up 3 metres away, on top of her TV.

one thing that has always bugged me. she is always referred to as being 72. yet in the film, Sandra is looking at police reports that say she is 73. the only explanation i can think of is that she turned 73 between being attacked and being interviewed by LE. otherwise it is really poor that MSM all got her age wrong.

Something that always makes me do a double take is the language GM’s sister uses regarding the phone call GM made to her that night.

I know it could be wrong wording on her part or she could have just picked him up wrong - but in the UK there’s a big distinction between saying the front door wasn’t locked and the front door was “lying open”. That usually means it wasn’t shut. If I forgot to lock the house up before bed and the front door was shut but just unlocked, I wouldn’t say it had been “lying open”.

It’s pedantic (you can really tell I’m starving for more news), but just something that sticks out to me anytime I read it.

ETA - I know it doesn’t really matter either. Once he was in he could pick any door to leave through.

See I don't think the older woman he was seen raping by the friends on video was the same person as the 72yr old american. I read in a few media sources shortly after MT's inteview where it was explicitly said it was not the 72yr old victim in this found video but can't seem to find those links now. Can anyone else remember this?

I think the story has been muddled and some sources are thinking it was the 72yr old the friends saw. This article seems to confirm it was different victims to the american lady -

The German man attacked the American woman in her home in Praia da Luz, Portugal in September 2005, about a year-and-a-half before Madeleine vanished in the same resort, the Braunschweiger Zeitung newspaper reported.

He was caught after a friend discovered video of separate attacks on an older woman and a young woman, who were both tied up and raped, and DNA evidence linked him to the rape of the 72-year-old.

The videos were inside the friend's motorhome when it was destroyed for scrap years ago, and he later went to the police with the claims, it was reported.

One video allegedly showed an "older" woman, who sounded like she was saying "help" in Italian, being whipped and raped by a masked man while she was tied up and her eyes were covered, according to the friend.

The video showed the suspect removing his mask and showing his face, according to the report.

The other video allegedly showed a younger woman, speaking German, tied naked to a wooden beam inside a house as she begged to be freed. The suspect was sat on a sofa, the friend told police, adding that he recognised the man and the interior of the house.

To me, that sounds like a different "older" victim who was Italian, not American, although the MO was very similar in both rapes (possibly why the story is getting muddled up). The second rape of the young german woman sounds like it may have taken place in the house with the beam by the sofa. May be why they've released the photo in the hope she recognises the scene and comes forward.

But I think I read of another older woman UK ? who also said to I think the Irish girl the same happened to her or something like that ? Ithink that woman has since passed away ???

She may have intended to say bedroom door or it may have been misreported as "front" door. I think if the front door would have been open, it would have been reported widely JMO

Agree with you, Dlk. Going back over the Tapas statements there’s actually a lot of emphasis put on the front door being shut. A figure of speech or a misunderstanding from someone who wasn’t on the scene.

Isn't this when he was arrested in Milan and extradited back to Germany to stand trial for the drug trafficking charge though?
