I'm confused about the relevance of Praia do Barranco das Canas?

If anyone could find a 2007 image from the above location, it would be good. IMO the WF photo has square fenceposts, but the ones in the above image are rounded.

that area has been extensively developed as urbanisation of Praia da Rocha spreads in the only way it can... to the west.
2009 images, on street map, show loads of that post and rope arrangement in the area along the cliff tops. and larger car parks higher up on flatter ground. all sandy. so possibly a feature of that area.
the post and rope appears to be put at one side of the road... the side where there is a cliff drop, or significant drop.

makes sense that the portuguese local authorities would put some fences on car parks and beaches near a big development. but not on the remote beaches, and remote beach car parks.

that area is just at the west end of Praia da Rocha, where HB was attacked.

PJ searched 3 wells yet reportedly did not search another well nearby according to a local smallholder. It's difficult to guess why PJ were so specific.

Of peripheral interest: some of the old wells which have machinery on top were powered by a donkey walking around the well to provide a continuous flow of water into irrigation channels.

Amazing. But hopefully the police forces recognise the port. IMO the police would already know the date from filename or the Exif data, so would be able to say aha it was in Malaga on date x.

Authorities are currently examining forensic evidence taken from the wells, though the wells contained lime which can lead to a faster disintegration of human remains. Additional searches in the area are expected this week.

I think that says a little more than other reports?

The sentence about how lime can lead to a faster disintegration of human remains makes me think perhaps they really did find human remains of some sort.

Finally searching the wells. I gess we wait for lab results. wouldn't be surprised if they found more than one person's remains there... :/

TBH the report doesn't say any human remains have been found.
If they did they would not carry on searching wells.
Plus they are several news reports saying they found nothing.

Media is making up a lot. I could imagine, prosecuters keep very quite in that case, due to the long row of failures in the investigation, that have been made.

If they don't comment to the investigation at all, they also would not reveal, if they found something or not.

Yes, there were firefighters and divers involved, surely on more than one location. If one of them told the press that nothing has been found, that does not mean, that maybe another team has found nothing either. IMO
