There's one thing though. If NF assisted CB with that burglary at the OC, and informed him that the coast was clear, she could 've easily put 1 and 1 together and have understood -the next day- that he had abducted MM. Apparently she chose to ignore that and that makes her an accomplice. She simply continued to operate and live her life as before the abduction.

Possible, yes! And if she told L.E. she tipped him of for a burglary in OC that day, she could be a key witness to link him to the crime scene! Good!

The moral aspect then is another thing. Kept as a suspect, she will be allowed to keep silent about. Not useful, let her be a witness and tell everything she knows.

I am away for a couple of weeks but glued to this board. I am shocked with the news about NF.
Now, does anyone remember a story where a holidaymaker stopped "a gipsy woman" stealing their child. Was this in PDL?
NFs involvement would mean Madeleine was taken to order but this doesn't exactly match HCWs view!!!!
Or was she taken for videos?
But they could have let her go, they could have dropped her somewhere once they knew she was a hot news.

Or I may make her an accessory after the fact depending on what she knew, and when she knew it, and if she may have helped CB evade LE in this matter.

An interesting part from "Sexta às 9" report was that Chris Diesel traveled to Lisbon in October 2007 with NF and they met the women (mother and daughter as I understand) in their Lisbon's home. They said NF was the dominant partner. Diesel told them he was going to Germany to treat his teeth as he had no Portuguese SS on so that would be very expensive locally.

If NF is nailed by the Portuguese prosecutors it will still not solve the cash robbery case let alone the MM case. Suspicion of having called CB on the phone to robb her friends, to proving it happened is a huge gaping gulf. It will not be crossed after 13 years in dormancy.

I didn't say anything about solving the robbery and I agree that means nothing - re-read my post to see what I was referring to.
IF LE can find out that CB was not in Germany at the time NF called him - there is plainly a lie being told, regardless of solving the burglary case.
It provides further insight to the relationship between NF and CB like I said.

Unfortunately no. I suspect she gave a lift to Chris Diesel to Lisbon Airport and another lift for the women to return to Algarve. But then she could have avoided introducing Diesel to these women if NF met them after leaving him at Airport. Unless: 1) Diesel wanted to meet them for some reason 2) NF wanted to introduce Diesel for some emotional reason (she shared Mathias details impersonating Diesel guy) 3) Diesel is a very jealous guy and wanted to make sure BARD for peace of mind 4) it was just a friendly act as she surely told them she would put her "husband" in Lisbon (and didn't want to lie) 5) it just happened.

If we went down this road though, and married Hewlett’s confession with German police findings - namely that MM died quickly and, given searches, presumably in the algarve - she never made it out of the country, likely never ever made it to her captors. Did he panic then? Was she so recognisable then that he didn’t even take the time to make any kind of video material before he killed her? I sort of hope so. Less for her to suffer.
