Madeleine McCann cops warned Portuguese police her disappearance may be linked to German-based child-trafficker

"It's been reported that British detectives raised concerns that Madeleine had been spotted with a German man getting into a VW van weeks after she vanished.

We now know this is the make of the vehicle the Madeleine suspect drove".

I don't recall having read that statement previously, but if you've seen it already... just ignore and carry on. If this is true though... they may have a better case against CB than we think

I believe this was a sighting in Alcossebre, Spain. They left Tunnels restaurant (which I’ve looked up and it would actually appear to be a restaurant in some sort of underground/cave type thing. Or at least made to look that way, very dark with purple and blue lighting inside) and were seen getting into a VW camper with German plates. Very sus, now that we know about CB.

Or at least made to look that way, very dark with purple and blue lighting inside) and were seen getting into a VW camper with German plates. Very sus, now that we know about CB.

We can take this a bit deeper actually - he may have had her wear them so she couldn't see him (she'd be even more terrified). But it may also have been another way to dehumanize his victim. Its hard to view someone who's eyes are covered as human. At some point, she took them off or he removed them from her as they were found by the robbers who cleared his stash of robbery items from the house when he was arrested for diesel theft. Why did he do this?

If he took the time to put them on her or have her do it - she'd have seen him (whatever part of him there was to see in whatever light may have been available).

If he took them off her or had her remove them - she'd have seen him again (unless he told her keep eyes shut). Why remove them or have her remove them is my bigger question. Was he remorseful? Needed to see her eyes for some reason? Or was it just to see how hurt and scared she really was? There is some serious motive behind that even if I can't see it.

I’d think the most likely scenario would be just not wanting to leave very incriminating evidence behind. I think he himself was masked.

No remorse - if he's a psychopath then he wouldn't feel remorse at all.
I don't know if she saw him or whether he was wearing a mask.
He probably took them off her as they may have carried his dna - also they were possibly part of his "rape kit".....sorry. So may have been quite important to him imo.

I googled 'blacked- out swimming goggles', and up came anti-fog goggles, and mirrored goggles.
It's got me thinking...

Which ones were used, and for what purpose? Or were they customized for a specific use?

I get the usage for not being identified...
Could they also have been used for protection from say, water, or acid, or something else?

I keep thinking of CB cutting the roof off one of his vans to catch rain water to use for a bath. Could drowning have been involved in this manner? Hate having to think about that, but I'd like to know everyone's thoughts on this.

he did pool maintenance, maybe that involved needing to be able to see under water.
he also lived on the algarve for 10+ years, maybe he liked swimming in the ocean.

Didn’t we have a convincing sighting in Silvres that was similar a few days after she went missing?

IMO she needs to confirm it was CB who answered that call. They already know the mobile was in PDL. But don't know if it was in CB's hands.

I’ll have a jook over the video again Mendel, I think it was towards the end. I had already scoped this dudes profile out before I saw the video because someone named him here, then I saw the same guy’s fb profile pic on the documentary.
