It keeps being complete nonsense they discarded investigating blue bags origin just because they where wholesale from Italy.

That's a big clue and they must have been bought somewhere in Hannover. So they should have searched every possible place where they might have been bought. I'm not an expert, but I'm sure plastic bags can be analyzed to the point of determining manufacture lot and compare them with manufacture lots available at local stores.

Those snow cars used by criminal must be very common in Hannover, too. But why didn't they consider someone might have bought one or two in the preceding days nearby?
Doesn't CB have links to Italy as well?

I was confused by the 2019 comment as well, I think there was some misunderstanding/translation problems perhaps between Sandra and HCW. I thought the victim came forward after seeing his pictures in the media after being named a suspect in the MM case which was 2020. I don't know why they would be investigating a 2007 case for public exposure in 2o19 unless they were looking at all unsolved crimes in the area which CB could be linked to?

HCW says clearly "We investigate since April 2019" @ 0:40 after hesitating as usual.

He was caught in Italy in 2018. That's all we know, I think. Anyway bags manufactured in Italy might be sold in Hannover and that's where investigation should be placed first IMO.

Yeah I was trying to say I found it strange they had been investigating the new sexual abuse claim since then as I thought it was more recent.

[...] One of the bin liners had been rested on soil that did not match any samples from the area of where the bodies were discovered. [...]

Soil found was from area 1 in picture, where a man with sledges was seen, Ihme-Zentrum, the center of Hannover. So CB's Kleingarten isn't a possible origin for soil samples.

"[...] the soil evidence [...] came from the vicinity of the pedestrian bridge on which the suspect was observed."

Just a question. HCW is cryptic as always.

It's no big deal victim and parents considered CB after June 2020 given his massive coverage and information he lived in Algarve in 2007.

Problem is that HCW says they're investigating that since April 2019. So I'm missing something again.
My understanding was that BKA asked PJ for any other sexual assault cases around the Algarve back in 2019 and this was one they began investigating for a possible link.

Then, following the recent appeal on CB this year, the victim of that assault came forward to say she thinks it was CB who carried it out.

That said, if they began investigating in 2019, you would have thought part of that investigation mighy involve them approaching the victim to ask if they recognised CB?

Yes. The victim hasn't recognized CB by pictures. That doesn't surprise me because in my view, CB looks kind of different in every single picture/mugshot that has been spread over the web.

But almost a month ago, we've seen footage of him, made in around april 2007 when he drove the hitchhikers to spain. Footage, where he looks very different again. I assume, the victim could have seen that guy, that she saw in spring 2007. IMO

So the victim told the police, she recognizes him now, and is 99 percent sure of it.

I agree. I have known cases were analysis has determined bin liners having been pulled from one another on the same roll. Although I doubt these are from one roll, being 7 yrs between each murder. X

I thought I read that adults gave chase like that with the playground incident? Surely they too would have a description of the offender? X

Maybe, but the father that chased the offender, should have seen more of his back than everything else. I'm a father myself. If i would see some perp jerking off in front of my daughter, by holding her tight maybe, my first view would go to my child and than i would start to yell and run to the scene. In seconds the perp would start to turn into the other direction an run either.

So i assume, i would almost remember physical shape an colour of his hair maybe. Hard to say....

Grabbing a child in daylight and doing sexual stuff in the same spot and within eye sight of others/parents/families makes me wonder whether he had an accomplice filming the act or perhaps just fulfilling his role as a sort of peeping Tom.

In the incident at the playground the purp (suspected to be CB) ran away together with a chum after being caught.

I think if he was naked then the most likely thing you would recognise is his bare bottom as he ran away!

I've not been keeping up - is FF now trying to appeal against the rape conviction or is this a badly translated link?

"Christian B has convictions for child sex abuse and was found guilty of raping an American woman, 73, in 2005 close to where Madeleine vanished. But his lawyer Friedrich Fulscher says he is innocent of the rape and has appealed, and has nothing to do with Madeleine"

Madeleine McCann: Christian Brueckner performed sex act in front of girl, 10, weeks before toddler disappeared

FF says a lot. IMO too much. The rape case will stand, due to the DNA in the victims home.

I know CB was convicted as a teenager for an incident involving children and I know the accusations regarding MM.. did the PJ say they found a suspects hair in the OC apartment?? And if so, why has nothing been done with it?? Is this also what got him convicted of the American lady assault.. did his DNA match up with hair from that scene? If CB is guilty then IMO, he should never be released. Both the child and the elderly American lady are equally vulnerable targets for anybody, it's just cruel. But as well, I find it very hard to believe a word that is spoken out of the PJ. I wouldn't trust them lot as far as I could throw them! X

Whilst I do support Human Rights etc, as a deterrent, I dont think prison sentences are harsh enough for convicted criminals. I dont agree with prisoners having access to what Is not a necessity but a luxury ie, television. I would go as far as saying, for certain criminals who are not serving a life sentence, that contact with loved ones should be via telephone only. Deprive them of visitation. Give them a reason to not want to ever go back inside. People will disagree no doubt, but the fact is, most prisoners are re offenders as it is and the 1st timers will go on to re offend too. Prison is no deterrent in this day and age X MOO

I understand where you're coming from (and I agree it's complicated) but I'd counter ^ your/my BIB above with why can't that reason be a positive one, based on a thoughtful and redemption-focused prison experience, rather than the negative, deprivative one you're proposing?

The best reason - imo - to never want to go back inside surely is that prison has given an offender something solid and positive to take away from their prison experience - ie. that they leave with hope of a better crime-free future for themselves
