The 3 finger nightime salute pic of CB. Could only screenshoot from a Google 'cb maddie Der Spiegel 'search (IMG now removed). The front wheel arch to the *upper right has a blur/something I can't make out, and something taped to the window also. Are CBs shoes and ankle area of pants muddy/dusty or is it the camera light. Assuming 3rd/4th May Also, was he working that night in restaurant as some may have suggested, or could this be dressed smartly to avoid attention/blend in as a worker finishing his shift. Sure this has already been mentioned though.

Yes, i posted that before either. Very strange guy that seems to look different in many pictures. Very odd, especially according to some reports of a look-a-like he used to hang around with at the time.

Are CBs shoes and ankle area of pants muddy/dusty or is it the camera light. Yes I noticed that too. It almost looks as though he has his trouser legs tied at the ankles with string or something or his trousers are tucked into boots? - especially more noticeable on the left ankle. (Night pic)
Or some kind of novelty slippers that look strangely like pigs snouts/face and ears now that I've looked the pic with 'fresh' eyes

There does seem to be a bit more going on in the foreground than I initially thought on this version.

If you're right about the the location/ hippie markets bao sao joao,(which looks likely) then the lines could be where the pitches were marked out or from where the pitches were dismantled?

The posts looked pretty rotten whenever the CB pic was taken, perhaps they've since been removed.

I've studied some pics of the interieur of a T3 Westfalia and just behind the drivers seat is i kind of small closet installed. But i didn't see any version, that is maybe equipped with some kind of drainage e.g., that leads to wheel housing. Also the struts, shocks, springs aren't installed in that area.

But it looks odd, i must admit!

Think it is just blurring at the bottom of the photo. If you look closely you can see bottom of ordinary trousers and shoes.

I think it looks like a badly photoshopped pic of a girl propped up against the van, you can see the top of her head, hair shining from the flash. However I strongly suspect it’s just a trick of the light where the flash is catching inside the wheel arch.

So I’m going back to my looking at clouds analogy I referred to during the dog/cushion debate.

When we start debates like these with the photos it’s usually because we’re fed up of waiting for concrete progress to be announced...

I think it looks like a badly photoshopped pic of a girl propped up against the van, you can see the top of her head, hair shining from the flash. However I strongly suspect it’s just a trick of the light where the flash is catching inside the wheel arch.

If you zoom out on the pic you can see 3 vertical lines starting from the top in the black sky, 2 at the front and 1 at the back of the vehicle - what are they?
