The recent quote from HCW which stated that CB could talk to prosecutors at any time, IMO, shows that they are trying to break him - why?
Again, IMO, this is telling about the case against him. What they have, on its own, is not strong enough to get a conviction.
I have been a believer that HCW had the goods soo to speak but this little comment is worrying.
The only way to "break" people is under the psychological pressure of interrogation.
I don't see why (if guilty), CB is going to confess to one of the most notorious crimes from his prison cell.
What they may be trying to do is frustrate him into requesting a sit down? But given he has high quality legal advice, i don't see how such a strategy works really.

That's my opinion as well. Obviously his drawings together with the media reports (if true or not) are showing a very precise picture of him.
1.
He doesn't seem to feel guilty of anything until proven at court and even that doesn't seem to make him feel any remorse in some way.
2.
He insists on his own rights emphatically without taking care of the rights of others in general.
3.
He is a manipulative narcissist and is even looking for some kind of stage to perform out of prison.
and so on....
Even if solitary confinement may be annoying to him and a daily threatening by others make him feel uncomfortable, it's nothing he didn't seem to have experienced in his own past/childhood maybe.
It won't break him and make him confess that soon, right! So HCW has a lot of more work to do in the next months, if not years. But who knows, maybe detective-sergeant "Happenstance" may help some day...

He’s been moved to the German ‘Alcatraz’. He’s in solitary confinement, in a glass-walled cell. Other inmates have a profound distaste for nonses. Cleary, he isn’t happy with this situation.
Perhaps HCW is tenderising the meat before cooking it. Or perhaps CB’s prison moves and his current treatment have no strategic motivation from the prosecutors - seems obvious to me that this is not the case.

I could imagine, that HCW took the chance to make him talk, after making CB public. That didn't work unfortuneatly.
As i understand the situation, the prosecutors have undeniable evidence. But they can't use it in some way, what means some kind of legal prohibition to use it. So they have to take the long way via circumstancial ecidence. And that without a body yet.
It's possible to go that way, because people like Helge B, Manfred S., Michael T. and maybe other confessions are existing. But they need to obtain that evidence via these clues again!
The possibility of footage is obvious. That's why they searched the Hannover allotment. They got what they need, but can't use it in a legal way. For example, if the prosecutors from another country (out of europe and it's laws maybe) got access to darkweb paedo-sites under camouflage and after sharing prohibited material as well, it could cause evidence problems in the german/european legal system. The prosecutors from australia did their investigation that way and it has been discussed a lot!
The reason is the so called "fruit of the poisonous tree doctrine", whats one of the colums of the european penalty law system.
But it's just a theory! Actually we have a similar issue according to the ENCHROCHAT investigations here in good old germany....

“If we had been given an alibi that Christian B couldn’t be the perpetrator, then we would obviously cease investigating”

Explanation is simple, HCW have CB as the only suspect for the MM case and it's following this path so if he could exclude CB there would be no further investigation on the MM case as theonly "lead" or "suspect" they are following for MM case is him ....
Also if what they were to have were something like CB photos abusing/killing MM as stated many times by others then it wouldn't matter what alibi CB would provide as he would still be on the evidence the one doing the crime. What HCW have after all is "something else" like this :

Juan, a handyman at the restaurant, still swears: “It was Maddie.”
He has been saying for 13 years he saw her that day but nobody believed him because the restaurant is 1,000km from Portugal. Juan, who is in his sixties, says the girl’s face was strangely recognisable.
They most likely don't have physical evidences as i stated many times, only witness.

It's known that CB computers and cameras and cards were grabbed by police over time. The 8000 pictures were the ones captured on the box factory. There are many more as he might had stored more of that over time on other places. Doesn't mean that any of those would be MM.

At any rate it doesn't matter. If the guy at the restaurante did really saw CB with a child that did look like MM and the license plate do match the van of CB chances are that he is indeed the one who took/kill MM. As long as the guy is telling truth and facts do match this might explain why HCW can't charge/question CB without further evidence but for me it would be enough to be 99% suer CB is the one who did MM crime, as long (again) that i were to be 100% sure that the statments of that witness are truth.

Please excuse my ignorance or lack of empathy, but your arguments are keeping to get more and more annoying!
Your point is still a fact, as there is no charge yet. No need to keep it as a "mantra". CB would have been charged, if the evidence of the prosecutors would be bulletproof.
So....we know what you want to say and at least myself agrees about it!
But as Lenny said...."It ain't over 'til it's over!"
Just be a little bit patient! No offense!!!!
Seems like you could be scared, that they could have the right one into focus?
