Apparently C da M had access to the German investigation into CB and they are now publishing portions of those files.

Behind a paywall at the moment though .

HCW has only said that there is no video, picture of the act with both MM and CB on camera together.
The act, I presume, means the murder.
There still may be pics or a video of MM on her own, that do not show/identify CB in them.

It's possible, I suppose... but if they have pics/video of MM, would the parents not have to be notified, not least for id purposes? I mean, that's huge, if that's what the BKA has, images of MM post her disappearance? I'm just trying to make sense of how the BKA could be in possession of something so vital without the parents being party to it? And HCW's *bizarre response to not telling the parents what he has in case they'd lose all hope whiffs less of concern for them, more of deliberate prevarication on his part imo.

Do you mean the Portuguese evidence will merge with the German prosecution or are you saying that it would make sense for it to? Anxala I too can’t help but think photographic evidence would be too good to be true. Ofc it could be something circumstantial like for example her pyjamas in one of the photographs. Something that indicates a post kidnapping time frame event for HCW to conclude that she is dead. CB seems too sure of himself that they have no evidence against him…that’s either him bluffing, or he thinks he’s done too good of a job at covering his tracks. Time will reveal more pieces of the puzzle but perhaps still not the entire picture.

Can you summarise what is in the CM article and post on here please?
There's a lot of interesting stuff there that we haven't yet seen on the thread.
I know the rules say we can't copy and paste due to the article being paywalled, but there's some good stuff in it and the google translation of the article is pretty poor to say the least.

I seem to recall that some of the investigation team were very traumatised and off work for a period (?)by some of the evidence. So it has to be significantly revolting.

From the translated from the Portuguese bits I've read so far this goes beyond revolting . I believe torture is involved .

These are absolutely disturbing conversations. Christian Bruckner, the suspected abductor of Madeleine McCann, in May 2007, in Praia da Luz, in the Algarve, was chatting with a friend via Facebook and talked about raping children. The conversations were seized by German police as part of a child pornography investigation and the interlocutor denounced the German suspect as the man with whom he was holding long dialogues.

The conversations that CM now reveals (see infographic) are in the German file, in which the disappearance of Maddie is investigated. But they have nothing to do with with the disappearance of the English child, not least because they were made in 2010. They say a lot about the behaviour of the man who is currently in prison for raping a North American woman also in the Algarve.

OK so a summary of the main points in the article linked above.......

Online FB chat was intercepted between CB and ........... in 2010 - not connected to MM, but part of an investigation into child porn. (Article shows a pic of the Skype chat) which was originally reported to be in 2013, so a little confusion around that.

Dozens of FB and Skype messages between CB and other paedo's were detected.

CB promises that he'll meet up with the person he's chatting to to show him some new video's. They don't live close to each other.

It then goes on to say about the stolen rape films. Nothing more than we already know.

Another friend A..... described CB's sinister character and said that CB told him that he killed his ex-GF , by mistake, when he was drunk. CB also blabbed about many other 'minor' crimes and talked about violating children.

It seems an interlocutor denounced CB as the man he was having long conversations with online.

The friend told Police that CB had allegedly told him that he liked to watch catastrophic situations, and that he needed dangerous situations.

The witness goes on to say that CB made jokes, to him and another ex GF, about the murdered ex GF's arms and legs having been cut off.

CM states that that process ended up being archived. No strong evidence of the his involvement in the crime, but they later searched a place where the victims clothes may have been burned . Authorities found nothing and the death went unpunished.

I'm not sure that follows. He could be talking about things he did any number of years prior to the chat.

Hang on............. So in the context of the conversation they were having, I think that boasting that he could kill faster than an animal, is a little bit of a red flag.

What reason would he have to implicate himself in the case of MP or MM by bragging?

Perhaps he just likes very dark humor or wants to be seen as a 'hard man' peado - Or get's a kick out of people double guessing him, thinking he's smarter than everyone else.

I'd imagine friends may have always seen him as a 'A' hole and probably brushed off his boasts and brags over the years, but then the bigger picture started to form and this is what the BKA has now.

Just like he teases the BKA with his drawings and letters, this some kind of game to him. All typical, dangerous. manipulative, narcissistic behavior IMO.

My thoughts

It's significant that a Portuguese journalist was embedded with HCW and thrown some scraps exclusively.

It indicates a defined media strategy, which is no doubt connected to the meeting between BKA+PJ. What's the point? Not clear but my guess is to build the basis for cooperation (remember PJ got burned before on Redwoods search fiasco). It can't be coincidental this stuff is dropping right when PJ and BKA are meeting.

Disappointing that there is nothing really new here?

But of course, they aren't going to put their best stuff in public

But at least clarity that HCW is trying to move ahead, needs PJ's help and is pushing.
