How did the BKA prosecute using the hair sample ? if not from the PJ cooperating.

The PJ obviously cooperated with the BKA in regards to the first rape case, why should the Madeleine disappearance be any different.

At least one of the rape cases has eventually expired in Portugal?! All the clues were there. IMO, after all, also in MM's case, PJ can only be a mere BKA’s assistant to their requests. But slowly...

Everybody assumes CB walked away with MM. Much more logical is that he drove away. I thought for years that the kidnap vehicle was one of those white panel micro vans everybody uses for work there. Completely invisible due to ubiquity. Can anybody confirm CB had access to one?

CB's VW T3 Westfalia campervan was extensively publicized by BKA. I'm not sure if he was using it at that time (April-May 2007). And the Jaguar?!

I always remember JC's case, in which, a big black limosine was seen and noted cruising around Figueira. Also, a motorcaravan that had been in Figueira for a day or two and then vanished at the time she disappeared and being found abandoned in PdL...

In any case, if Smithman was the abductor, why didn't he use a vehicle nearer the Ocean Club to make for a quicker exit from the area?
Why walk around PdL carrying a stolen child? To pick up the van far from 5A?!
Anything went wrong with the original plan? Has someone seen him? Has he seen someone (GM, JT)?
Any danger of being stopped by police and discovered whilst travelling by car?

And HCW said that MM was killed soon after she was kidnapped...

I don't think they did, if I'm wrong I'm wrong, but just because the Germans say something doesn't make it so.

Imo the fact that 18 months ago CB was named as the prime suspect was not because they were ready to press charges but to gather more information about him. HCW has said it clearly they are not in any hurry since CB is already serving time and he will be in jail for a good few more years. That they have not done another public appeal for information either on the person who called CB or generally means that they got what they wanted to keep investigating him. Be that witness statements, videos/images, etc. HCW does not do press briefings, he is asked for information and he says very little. He is v careful with the words he uses as well, so I don't have any issue with the BKA taking their time. Coupled with the pandemic, I think they have already made a lot of progress! That it takes so much time and that they don't tell us what they have is no reason to doubt them... they might in the end not charge him - which would be the worst possible outcome but better maybe than divulging all the info they have in a court and to all of us and then given the so sensitive nature of the case, have CB walk free not because he is not guilty but because the case was not so bulletproof and would leave some reasonable doubt. And how could they give the info they have to the parents if they are not ready yet to charge him? What good would that make?

Something occurred to me about the similarities that HCW sees in these 3 cases, the rapes of DM and HB, and the disappearance of MM. apart from how he got in, we know that the attacker filmed the ordeal these women went through. Could the fact that we are talking about so much different ages of the victims be due to a specific clientele for such rape movies on the dark web? I cannot see the reason for filming if not to sell these or exchange them? I am trying to find the connection between raping older and younger women. Could this be it? Could these rapes and the stash of films he had made be for sale and/or exchange?

Since the recent police appeals regarding Madeleine’s disappearance there have been many inaccurate stories reported in the media. The widely reported news that we have a received a letter from the German authorities that states there is evidence or proof that Madeleine is dead is FALSE. Like many unsubstantiated stories in the media, this has caused unnecessary anxiety to friends and family and once again disrupted our lives.

The Met received one letter from the BKA on 12 June, which was passed to the family. The letter did not state that there was evidence or proof that Madeleine is dead, the MPS continues to investigate Madeleine’s disappearance as a missing person investigation. No letter has been received by the Met from the German prosecutor.

If they are wrong why would they be ridiculed, were SY thought of in the same vain when their suspects in 2014 were found to have had nothing to do with it.

On german broadcast Bild.TV was an interesting 2 hour broadcast from Kai Feldhaus (journalist) about the case, called "Mein größter Fall" (my biggest case).

At least 6 points have been very interesting.

1. A former friend of foster mother Brigitte B. told Feldhaus, that the CB has been beaten up for years as a child without any reason. The childhood was very violent. His head has been beaten on the table without any reason, whilst doing his homework.

2. Foster mother Brigitte B. refuses to comment about everything regarding to CB.

3. Helge B. did a voice mail to Feldhaus, played in the documentary. Helge B. said in the voice mail, that he told everything to the prosecutors and won't talk to the media. But he has heard and seen (!) enough!

4. Fülscher, after being asked if Feldhaus could talk to CB in person, answered with an angry but also laughing "NO"!

5. After being asked by Feldhaus if CB abducted and killed MM, Fülschers answer has been (quote!):

"That's the dumbest question you could ask!"

6. Manfred S. seems to be back in germany and not roaming europe in a campervan anymore, as seen in interviews from the past.

But i liked the part with FF. Pretty short and done in Hamburg. FF seemed to be kind of annoyed and grumpy but took the chance to put his face in front of a camera.

My (!) impression of him was, as if he might have expected a lot more publicity out of this case, but it didn't happen.

He even made quotes, his companion Johann S. made decades earlier in other cases.

Seems like lack of attention and no road out of being a lawyer from the province.

Maybe he should give his client the advice to confess, to achieve any progress?

GA just repeated old statements including fingerprints just found from KM and if HCW means CB is responsible, he should charge him.

Unfortuneatly not a single hint from HCW. But an interesting statement to possible witnesses like that it's possible some people think that some known witnesses would be cruicial for the case but maybe they aren't.

I understood his statement in the way, that there are possible witnesses or evidence that haven't been named by the media so far. But that's just my personal interpretation!

HCW keept the strategy not to reveal anything.
