One statement in one of his letters is interesting!

"Zu Ihrer zweiten Frage. Mir wurde tatsächlich und unmissverständlich vor einiger Zeit in der JVA Zeugenschutz angeboten."

Translation:

"To your second question. I was actually and unequivocally offered witness protection some time ago in prison."

Psychopaths typically live within delusions of their own creation.

Maybe he is guilty of one of the most famous and terrible crimes ever, and got away with it for nearly 15 years (so far). He seems to be basking in that spotlight of "the perfect crime".

But maybe (even given the terrible crimes he has committed), he's just a low life who never amounted to anything. A low level drug dealer. A petty crook. The kind of sicko who commits disgusting sex crimes like 1000s of other lowlifes every year.

Hopefully a trial will finally answer these questions.

he definitely is basking. But what makes me think he is indeed capable of committing this crime (apart from HCW and the BKA saying that he did!), is that he has been convicted for terrible crimes already (i.e. DM's brutal rape), showing that his behaviour does and did escalate. the brutal rape happened and was not a fantasy. even if he is never brought to court for this specific crime (MM), he is still a vile dangerous psychopath better to be locked up in prison for as long as possible.

This whole situation is bizarre.

what do you mean? which German text? of the documentary? or his letters? (He wrote 7!)

This whole situation is bizarre.

There are just two options imo.

1. A lying HCW by stating CB refuses to talk. Hard to think, BKA already interrogated CB and HCW doesn't know about.

2. A lying CB indirectly pretending to be a key witness, so it indicates that he isn't responsible for killing MM.

Decide for yourself, what option you prefer. Although i always assumed that MM wasn't a chance find but stolen to order or with some kind of vile purpose, i think it's very likely that CB is a manipulative liar for his whole life.

But both options could exist beside each other as well....

could it be understood any other way? could it be Zeugenschafte or Zeugenschade (but of course it doesn't make so much sense...)

From the documentary: there is a witness, an old friend of CB, German I think (could it be the other Christian JC mentions in his book?) who confirms that the phone number belonged to CB, and that he had talked to him on that phone number before (the day? ) MM disappeared.

This is also the same witness who said that CB used to do repairs in OC and he confirmed that the door to apartment 5a (or any other in OC ) would take 20 seconds for CB to unlock.

With all the latest scandals at the Met one does wonder at the supposed competence they brought to this intensely political case

Although apparently sure of himself, CB seems to be doubting and questioning if there are any other details that can incriminate him. Maybe naif when saying all his thoughts, caution and plans to avoid attracting attention and masking himself as "just" a drug dealer when he had too much appettite for more.

He said nothing more than "Whilst committing crimes at the algarve i've been aware not to commit other crimes, so the police didn't become aware of me."

What an oxymoron and biggest nonsense!:D

And after hearing some statements from his letters, the more i think about CB having an imaginary vicious friend living in the attic behind his forehead, named Holger!

No joke!

The most significant revelation from yesterday's doc (if true) was the former friend who claimed the phone number the BKA were looking for in the appeal (ending 683) actually belonged to NF.

"If" this is correct, then I find it very difficult to believe this is only now being discovered. The BKA have interviewed NF at least 3 times in the past 5 years and the appeal for the number was over a year and a half ago. Since then, HCW has repeatedly insisted they have not found the other caller.

I made a comment previously about how HCW reacted when SF put it to him whether the number could have belonged to NF. The pause, the shift in his eyes as he tries to think on his feet about how to respond, I thought was all very curious. He was not expecting that question. You can see it in the below link at 23:30.

I'm really do wonder if the whole number appeal was a bluff from the BKA that they hoped to turn to their advantage, and that they've actually known for quite some time who called CB that night. Is this what HCW meant about not wanting to let CB know what they had on him in case he tried to "change his story". Did NF initially give him his 'alibi' back in 2013 and has now admitted he was not in Foral? Were BKA hoping for him to repeat this claim publicly about where he supposedly was?

It seems no coincidence that NF has only crawled out of the woodwork for an interview with the Mail, just as this documentary and these claims were about to air. She is more key to this case than has been made out IMO.

ETA: Just saw the quote that HCW has apparently made about the documentary : "Nothing new was presented". Which presumably includes the revelation that the number belonged to NF....

Interestingly, HCW reinstates in the documentary that they do not know who the number belongs to, and what the content of the 30 min conversation was...

NF is very dodgy... i would imagine she had given the interview a while ago and only now when the DM knew what the documentary would show informed her about it and she conceded.

had a thought about that - initially the tip off could have been that CB snatched MM and sold her to a paedophile ring (based on MT's statements, or even HB's and why not DF). It could also be that this is what he had told them in his 'confession', that he snatched her and sold her.

If they were going initially with that in mind, they could have potentially tried to struck a deal with CB (who was still in prison) if he would name the other people involved...

in the meantime and as the investigation progressed, they must have found other incriminating evidence that would support their murder investigation.

thoughts?
