"However, [...] claims in the documentary the phone could have been up to 22 miles away when it received a half-hour call as the mast covered a large signal cell."

That is wrong. There was other 3 Vodafone BTS stations circling PdL which could pick the phone signal. The "22 miles away" is really 2 miles away. Nevertheless it did not locate CB at 5A.
So effectively MWT is saying part of CB's alibi could be the phone pinging 22miles away whilst in CB#s possession but it may not have been in CB's possession when it pinged close to 5A. Genius.o_O

I need the exact position 22 miles away to look for Vodafone BTS stations, but the three I mentioned is a kind of shield preventing anyone 22 miles away connecting to "PdL Center" BTS ...

If police can allegedly locate approximately where he was at 8pm, can they do the same for the rest of that night ?

Thank you.

Seems not .

We have the calls published in the PJ files, between 21:00 and 21:20, and between 21:45 and 22:15 (from memory) ... No receive or send calls for that number.

If there was another call with that number between 20:02 and 21:00 or between 21:20 and 21:45 I think HCW would publish this one ...

So, it will be not possible to know where CB was after 20:02 based on phone signals (if he really had the phone) ... Anf of course if it will be possible the area would be large (4 squared miles or so).

If BKA have the handset and it has a GPS chip installed then I'm guessing there could be location data recoverable.

There in lies the crux of the matter, its up to Wolters to prove where he was ,he was and still is either very lucky in getting away with it for so long or unlucky because of his predilection for paedo tendencies to have been so close to the disappearance to be linked to it .

That would of put him at the scene surely at circa 9-30 to 10 pm .

Could it be, that the T3 is not in possession of the german BKA right now, but still in Portugal. And now, after being made to an arguido, a judge from Portugal allowed the prosecutors to investigate it for forensics?

Police carry out DNA tests on VW van driven by Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner | Daily Mail Online

This is so confusing! According to this article, the van has been confiscated by german BKA and (!) portugese investigators in 2019.

All if this sudden investigation of the van do not make any sense to me....

What leads you to think they have it in their possession ?

On more than one occasion media have shown an old Nokia handset in an evidence bag. Whilst this may not be the actual handset such an image implies BKA have recovered one.

I don't share your optimism.

If they had useful data from the phone, then they wouldn't have needed to make that appeal.
Far more likely just to be a a mock-up. I would think.

2007 mobile phone technology at best.

Yeah, does seem odd. You'd think that avenue would have been exhausted already. Could be confusion in the press and that the BKA are actually looking at a different vehicle they've found?

Also, Dieter F seemed to indicate the winnebago he saw CB with was not the same one as we've seen pictures of in the Press.

And didn't an ex say he had another vehicle, it could be one of many, cos let's face it there's loads of stuff we don't know

I forgot to mention that in the published PJ files appeared the calls between 21:00 and 21:20, and between 21:45 and 22:15 ... only with the two mobile phones activating BTS at PdL.

Is there an explanation for the 25 minute gap ?

PJ received a list with more than 74,000 registered calls for days 2, 3, and 4 May.

They focused on calls where the two callers activated PdL BTS, and 21:00 to 21:20 (Jane Tanner?), and 21:45 to 22:15 (Kate alarm?).

I believed HCW/BKA have that same list of +74,000 calls.

Isn't it possible he simply didn't bring a phone for the last leg of his journey?

To me, the question is whether he thought 5a was good for buglary and MM was surprise loot (I'm so so so sorry for her parents) or if he was tipped off to children prior.

For what he's done already, charges and crimes we know about, just what an absolutely corrupted specimen of humanity. Serpentine. Bedwetter, animal torturer -- I bet it's all there in his history.

It was as if hell itself slithered into 5a.
