I believe when CB does get charged with these other cases that a new thread should be made since most of it would not be anything to do with Maddie''s case. But that is JMHO.

I get where you’re coming from, but we don’t know that the evidence presented in these cases won’t relate to Madeleine’s. There could be a lot of clues to the route the prosecution will down.
They’ll also build a picture of his usual habits when carrying out crimes, which will have everything to do with this case.

I agree. Other than regular assurances from HCW that he/the BKA are totally on top of CB's guilt as regards MM and, over the past year in particular, always just a mere heartbeat away from officially charging him, the reality is that 2 whole years later, CB is as close to being charged with the murder of MM as he was 2 years ago. JMO of course.

Olive Press was quite specific about the actions HCW was taking (taken from post 696)

EXTRADITION proceedings are being launched to bring five new charges against Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner.

A German prosecutor confirmed this week that he is sending paperwork to officially extradite Brueckner from Italy, where he was last a free man, despite him actually being in a German jail.

Especially this direct quote i.e extradition plus charge

“We are extraditing him over the Joana.E case, as well as three children he sexually assaulted at a snail festival in Portugal in 2017,” continued Wolters.

Seems amazing no German paper has this story given the accused was all over TV here.

Maybe with OP being small and paywalled, no one else noticed yet? Though that is hard to believe given news alerts.

The lack of any MSM confirmation does make me wonder if OP jumped the gun somehow.

The by-election results & BJ are filling the MSM here at the mo.
Normally 24 hrs+ for the OP articles to filter through, but obviously not a priority at the moment.

5 days later though, still not a whisper...

My feeling is that only MM-related news gains any traction, even if it's just tabloid and even then only for a day or so, depending on clicks.

No disrespect intended to any of the parties connected to any of the other crimes CB is alleged to have committed and be charged with, but, in the greater scheme of things, and with the world we live in and attention spans being what they are, this is just not news.

I'd guess, 2 years down the line, the responsible media won't go near any of this until an equally responsible source has something really significant and concrete to say about CB's alleged involvement in MM's disappearance and murder.

Or non at all, I think the msm got burnt back in 2014 with imminent arrest's which didn't materialise .

The files sent to FF were ‘quite extensive’, he may need an extension before things progress. IMO charges will happen in the near future. I think the MM charge will come after the conviction & appeals process has concluded in these other cases

I don't think a german public official would give an 'exclusive' to such a small foreign publication. But given the quotes - why has no german publication since reported the extradition of this major media figure? Is reporting on this not allowed? But then why would HCW give quotes to OP?

I am leaning towards the theory that MSM isn't touching this without direct quotes. i.e. if they report that he is being extradited on specific charges but then he isn't charged, that could result in legal action from CB
