So just WHAT do they actually have on him?
I wonder about this too. Surely it can't just be that he 'fits'? The investigation, from what I've read of the official German statements, seems really (overly, almost) dependent upon public input.

I think so too.I think MM was stolen to order. I don’t believe that CB was only looking to satisfy his sick fantasies. If that were the case, he could have preyed on a poor Portuguese child without the risk of international police and media attention. I think he was trying to cash in on his depravity. One report says that after MM’s abduction, CB went back to Germany and opened a corner shop and moved into an attached apartment. How did he get money to do that?

I’m amazed they don’t take everyone’s dna at birth, the amount of crimes they’d solve if they did.Just off topic, I’m amazed that trackers are now not fitting as standard on all new cars?
Apart from it making it easier to identify stolen vehicles, it would also prove the movements of it.

I can’t believe someone can be investigated for so many cases. Can’t all be just coincidence.Brueckner was investigated over the murder 24-year-old Monika Pawlak, who worked in a kitchen and occasionally as a prostitute, in Hanover in 2010, but never charged, police documents revealed.
He was ordered to give a DNA sample during a mass DNA test, it was reported.
Madeleine McCann was killed soon after she was kidnapped, says German prosecutor
Because as his crimes progressed and after he'd got away with more and more, the more chances he took and went further and further. Also if it was him, a paedophile has much difficulty in holding back their desires. Also his psychopathology maybe that women (for gratification)are viewed differently to him than children, (without going into too much detail)

We have in UK. A black box is offered by insurance companies to bring costs down.

whats new these days lolI think some people might find that a bit 1984ish. There'd be much objection.
Same with Ben NeedhamIf this happened in the UK we would not be sitting here 13 years later, I truly believe that!
