A GERMAN prosecutor has told The Sun Portuguese police are still convinced Maddie McCann’s parents are involved in her death.

But Hans Christian Wolters, Braunschweig state prosecutor, is convinced Christian B is the main suspect and Kate and Gerry McCann "don't have anything to do with it".

Mr Wolters said: "I think the Portuguese officials still think that Maddie's parents are responsible for her disappearance.

The German police are basically having a go at the Portuguese publically. Not very professional IMO. If you just get your info from the UK press it is always critical of the Portuguese. If it's true the Germans never sent requests for searches to Portugal what are they supposed to do?

She didnt go missing, she was killed by her mother and her uncle, though.

I read an article on psychopaths yesterday. It said they have a deep need to be loved but their personality traits make it impossible for people to stick around and fill that need for them. It also said they are very likely to feel deeply sorry for themselves at times. I can imagine this is how CB is feeling right now.

So Amaral got a conviction for defending his men and saying they didn't do it...which in the end they were never found guilty of.
This all seems like more bashing of the PJ to me.

Oh no, to be fair, she most likely did get beat up by LE and if it was other inmates, then LE had to know and still let them do it, which although she deserved it, it's still wrong on their part. She confessed several times, her brother, who helped killed Joana and disposed of her body also confessed several times and gave a very detailed account of the murder and the disposal. But the fact is that the local LE almost threw Joana's case out of the window, be it because they actually did the beating, or because they let the beating happen. Amaral lied to protect his guys, that's why he got sentenced.
