So it sounds like "another driver" was in fact AB. All in the translation I suppose.

A little more precise, about 1 month after...........

"Angie Dawes was 32 when she said Brueckner suddenly appeared in the Portuguese village of Foral, Silves, where her family lived.

A month after Madeleine went missing from her family’s holiday apartment in the town of Praia da Luz, Brueckner allegedly starting working in a restaurant 40 miles away"

British woman claims Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner 'targeted her' | EXPRESS INFORMER
He could have went earlier, but only got the job in the restaurant a month later?

Its at least a 28 hour journey, so it wouldn't have got there by 4th May imo.

He could have arranged to move the car to Germany knowing that he was very soon going to be there himself?! Forward planning!

Did he arrange for the Jag to be transferred as security for anonymous room and board he knew he would soon need to help him lie low?

This is all tying my brain in knots... I can't seem to fathom or apply logic to make sense of it atm x

The only conclusion I can come up with is that the Germans really solved it. There’s no “gotta fund the Met!” Or “the McCanns control the media” spin that would take it this far.

Honestly the UK media is horrendous, they make stuff up, they outright lie, stretch the truth and copy each others stories without evidence that they are factually correct, you really have to take the tabloid with a pinch of salt.

Let's not mention the no of deaths they've been responsible for because the defamation laws are disgusting. But wey hey to good ol liberal free speech! Ugh, so "progressive" it's backwards!

I am even more confused about the location, timing and registration of the Jaguar after reading this article which states:

Detectives say the day after Madeleine’s disappearance, Brueckner re-registered the Jaguar on behalf of Alexander Bischof, who lives in Augsburg, Germany, despite the fact that the vehicle never left Portugal.

In the last known address of Madeleine McCann, the suspect Christian Brueckner | FR24 News English

Can anyone provide links to confirm the following statements:
1- AB knew CB for 10 yrs prior to him living with him in 2007
2- That the car was registered in Germany on May 4th 2007 (and if so, did the car or CB have to be in Germany?) to AB(?)?

I think it is much more suspicious if the registration was changed while the car was in Portugal and if that happened on the day after MM's disappearance. But it is not clear to me that this is what happened. It is so sad to have such unreliable news stories able to be published with what seems to be no fact checking.

Madeleine McCann: Suspect's flat was raided by police two years ago

“This is still unimaginable,” said Bischof. At the time, he said Brückner was driving a Jaguar, possibly the same model which is now at the centre of the police inquiry. On May 4 2007, the night after Madeleine vanished, Brückner re-registered the Jaguar saloon in the name of an acquaintance who lived in Augsburg even though the vehicle remained in Portugal

Bit more information in the Mail's article -

Mr Wolters played down the significance of the Jaguar despite Scotland Yard appealing for information about it.

He said the car was in Germany when Madeleine went missing and information about it was released only to jog memories. ‘The vehicles are not of direct interest for the Madeleine case,’ he said.

So, the car was there prior to MM going missing on the 3rd so rules out any overnight dash across the continent it seems.

No, but if you wanted an alibi, it would sound plausible you were with the car when it was sold.

Where armchair detectives are concerned. I sincerely hope this would not qualify as an alibi with LE. Yikes!

Hang on.....AB's known him for "more than a decade"...but when from...2007? The police contacted him in 2018...

ETA The actual quote is:
Mr Bischof rented an attic room to Brückner but also allowed him to use the kitchen and bathroom after being first introduced to him through a mutual friend more than a decade ago.

Like I said, if it was planned and the acquaintance was asked to corroborate it...

"My friend Christian": Exclusive interview with a close friend of Christian Brückner, the alleged murderer of Madeleine McCann.
Does it mean it was on TV in Germany at 23.25? i wonder if they'll upload the full interview on youtube like they did with the last one

Bizarre new details. According to research by
@MeyerHeuer and @HeiseThomas
Countless used children's swimsuits were found at Brückner in 2016. Plus child 🤬🤬🤬🤬. The tenant of his arbor has also informed the police. It's about an illegal basement. More at 23:25

The search of the property in Augsburg in northern Bavaria shows police have actively been trying to find evidence to prove the case against Brückner for at least two years

I said I'd made a mistake upthread.
