To think that MM would be 17 now, and if she was taken to be a child for a childless couple, then surely she would of seen some news, and then know who she really was - just a thought

IMO the evidence is on the usb stick. videos of various people in enough disguise to make it impossible to determine. and in those videos is MM being killed. or worse. i take no pleasure whatsoever in writing that.

I would not want the job of those investigators for any amount of money. Imagine looking at videos and images like that. And whilst I cant praise them enough for the work they do in catching these vile people I cant imagine that there is much job satisfaction because for every one they catch there are probably dozens more that will never be caught.

IMHO:

Mr. Wolters released lots of information, including name of suspect-to be (maybe beyond his own duty, something CB's lawyer will use if they can't charge him).

If they had more evidence, why wouldn't they release it or at least admit it?

I suspect they already released all info they have and they hope someone will call them to give strong evidence. This is the only reason I see for them to shoot an atomic bomb with suspect-to be full name first-page worldwide.

If they can't charge CB and so far so appears to be the case, CB's lawyer will easily win the most shameful case against FR Germany in European Court of Human Rights.

I even imagine they'll be forced to offer him a new identity (his third), not to talk about compensation (Murat won upwards of £600.000 in Portugal )

You had a go at me for writing a complete timeline, which has not been proven to be fanciful or shown to be wrong so far. in fact the more info that comes out, the more likely my timeline is accurate.

I also got slammed by suggesting there were lots of pedos in PdL and in general. Yet just yesterday it was quoted that there are a disturbingly high number of pedos amongst us, and in PdL.

I don't think anyone should be criticised or slammed for providing facts and a timeline, this can only be of benefit to all. It may be that it provides uncomfortable or unsavoury evidence but surely we are looking at a murder / missing person enquiry here and a poor young girl.

Whoever and I mean Whoever is responsible for this dreadful crime has to be caught.
LE often release only part of the facts to start to worry the perpetrators to get them to either make mistakes or do the thing that exposes them.

It is unlikely that the German police are communicating this information for any other reason as if you don't have all of the facts or sufficient evidence to go to a trial, just wait until you do.

I strongly suggest that open mindedness is an important quality here as following on from LE announcement, there will undoubtedly be some very nervous people at the moment other than CB.
Who could he name perhaps as his "customers and was he the sole vendor"

The McCann's made an official statement that they don't have a spokesman nor a lawyer at their payroll. Claims made in the papers about talking to and quoting them are made up.

On the tanner sighting, a man came forward, and said it was him, and the Smith sighting was around 10 pm, or a little before, and so GM was at the tapas restaurant, so not him, even though the Smith man said he thought it was GM, that was on that programme the other night, hope that makes sense

It seems like he isn't confirming or denying b/c he's hoping to make someone sweat - shake the tree and see what falls out kinda thing! If he says straight up he hasn't got photos or video, some folks may worry less. Maybe they're watching to see who might come forward looking to make an immunity deal, or who turns up dead? Who knows.... I feel though they wouldn't say they knew it was CB unless they knew for very sure it was CB... and they were just trying to find something to use to take it to court.

If that was the tactic, why be open about the other things they "don't have"? CB didn't know LE don't have any foresnsics, or that he can just say someone else had his phone because they have nothing else concrete to place him in PDL.

I can't see why anyone would be likely to come forward on the basis that LE might (but might not) have a video. Why would they based on that?

You can see it in this TV report from Der Spiegel. They show the actual Skype transcript from 2013 (wahsinnderholger is CB and panikspatz66 is CB’s friend). This was found when they got his computer in 2016 — he was a person of interest in IG’s disappearance.

I quite liked your timeline, Tim. It was speculating but was along the same lines I've been thinking. It was certainly better than numerous threads about (imo) irrelevant information about a reflection in a photo.

My advice to you is to open up a private conversation. I'm not able to do this with you.

Thanks for that, I was not aware of German evidence requirements. I do hope that he appears in court as he may when cross examined explain exactly what happened and put the record straight once and for all.

It was a man's name, like I said, a very common name, it also said it had Snapchat and WhatsApp, but accounts were closed, just googled it, says Diogo silver, was in the daily mirror and others I think

One of the unfortunate aspects of the German legal process is there is no incentive for a suspect to own up to the crime or talk about anything. There is no Guilty/not Guilt plea in court either. Unlike in most other countries, you don't get any sort of reduced sentence for owning up to the crime. The Prosecutor simply lays out the evidence to the Judge and the Defence contend any points if they wish to. The Judge alone then decides if they believe they are guilty or not and sentencing is passed down.
